Why did my plant stop growing??

Hi everyone. I'm a first time grower currently growing a femenized plant of the strain called black kush. The plant is 3 weeks old and 7 inches tall. The plant currently just stopped growing but is still alive. Some of the leaves on the bottom have yellow spots on them but the leaves at the top look nice and green and healthy. I'm using vegetative nutrients which I bought from a weed growing store. The nutrients are apparently supposed to be enough but maybe I'm missing something else. I'm growing with compact flourescents lamps which produce 2600 lumens each. According to high times they have good spectrum for growing. Someone please help, this is a really good strain I do not want to die.

I used the same type of CFL's in one of my first grows and have found that for some reason the plants never really grow at a steady pace and have spurts all the way until flowering which you will see a lot of growtht he first week of flowering. Your plants could be root bound if you haven't transplanted them already and adding too many nutrients and water in the first month could stunt the growth and even kill your plant. Good Luck.

I actually just transplanted it from a 4 inch pot to a 9 inch pot about three days ago and just after is when it stopped growing. I think I might have watered it a bit too much because when I transplanted it, it was still a little wet then I added more water to the new soil around the plant. I have a fan on as well. And yes there are holes on the bottom to drain the water.

if the plant looks healthy, i would not worry.....if it goes into shock from transplant it could delay growth "upwards" BUT the roots are growing....hang in there and it will catch up

Your plant probably just went into shock after transplanting it....give it a few days and see where your at. Also make sure you either have rocks or mesh netting at the bottom of your pot and perlite in the soil so the roots can breath.

i just up potted and i thought i was having nuet deff as it was yellowing and dropping so i was trying to diagnose it with feeding this and that and after about 4-5 days after up potting they have just taken off like crazy and all the yellowing and odd looks to them are gone as well as that explsoive veg growth is back
but depending how bad the shock is fomr the transplant may affect how long your gonna weight if them being root bound is even the issue

Plants not growing? Can only be three things;
1) your plants root ball has reached the limits of its container
2) you have over watered and/or over fertilized
3) lighting is inadequate for plant size
If you are growing in a bagged soil you should barely be using your nutes maybe once a week if it's even needed at all in veg. Even half strength could be too much; if your soil had numbers on it its fertilized already. If most growers just potted up to the largest size they could they wouldn't need to use as much bloom nutrient either. A small pot forces you to overwater to keep them from wilting all the time. A large pot regulates moisture better than a small one. Mulching the tops of your pots and using fabric containers also helps IMO.

This happened on my second grow, Just after re-potting. They didn’t grow for a week, so I topped them as the shoots were still ok. Worked out fine and the carried on growing.
