Screw the fancy shit I'm home made as much as i can.
Hell yeah lol. I would love to have trays and stuff for ease but I don't mind getting my hands dirty.

I would suggest if, you're getting worms, maybe getting a small bin established first before you add them to your pile would the way to go so they will breed and you can make sure they aren't all escaping and such.

I'm starting off with a small amount of worms and a small 10 gallon tote to get the understand of it, then I'll be starting a bigger bin.

Good idea. I'm sure I can come up with a tote. I've been cheating also with the worms. I water the lawn in evening then I go out with the kids and flashlight when dark, snag the worms, and been tossing them in the raised garden beds. They peek out at night too so I know they are there. Now I just gotta get my little one to only catch them in the yard and leave in the gardens lol

Yeah it's super cheap and easy to set up a small bin. A lot of people drill holes all around it too but my friend showed me his and he simple cut a large whole in the center of the lid and put a screen on it. Saved a ton of trouble and time. And as long as you don't let it get to wet there is no need for a drainage hole.

For composting you'll want the red wigglers. I guess they are made for composting, the night crawlers you find out back are mostly just good for aerating the soil/moving the dirt around.

Now I'm not 100% on the night crawlers, because I'm still pretty knew to vermiculture, but I know if you want worms for composting, get the Red Wigglers.

Yup on the wigglers that's what the old guy next door said also along with another kind that I can't think of. I've been throwing the crawlers in the garden to loosen up the soil more since there is allot of clay in the ground where I'm at.

Well it seems like I'm taking in the information pretty well haha.

Yeah I wanted to start up the bin at zero cost, had everything and thought I could just go outside and get some worms and be rollin'. Nope had to buy the worms haha, oh well they were cheap and all seemed to arrive alright. I didn't go counting lol.

Where's the updates from after the tea feeding! Lets see those happy bitches :D
Haha, I'll get some pictures up in a couple hours when the lights go on.

With setting up the pool yesterday, watering the plants outside, cleaning the house, and messing with my new worms. I never got to feed the tea, but it's all good. It's been bubbling for 36 hours now so it should be in the perfect zone. They'll be getting their soil drench this morning right after breakfast. :)

They are looking super good though, really happy so far but only a couple weeks in still lol.

After watering them all with 1/4 gallon of my alfalfa/kelp tea. I looked at them all closely for sex and no signs yet. The AKs have been under 12/12 for 11 Days, and the PMs for 15 Days, still got a good way to go still.

Here are some close-ups.

AK-48 #3

Purple Monkey #3

Purple Monkey #4 (Seems lankier and larger then other four, either sativa pheno showing or early signs of a male)

Also the worms seem to be liking their new home. After 18 hours or so with a light on them and the lid off, I turned the lights off this morning and after 4 hours no one is trying to escape and I don't see any outside the bin. Checked the corners where I put food and saw a couple close to the food so I think they should be good to go. Now I want to see some compost!!

Stay Green everyone

I got the watering all done. Thinking they are really going to be liking the kelp/alfalfa teas. Everyone is looking super healthy. Got a runt or two of the AKs and one of the PMs is sticky out. The AK in the 3g pot defiantly looks like it's coming along faster then the 2g ones, but it could be a genetic thing no idea.

On the down side officially out of everything. Dabs, nug, schwag, roaches. Resin is just gross and gives me a headache so not going to touch that. Just double checked my pyrex and got a tiny dab. Going to go check my oil rigs and domes and such and see if I can't melt any reclaim out. I'm sure I can find a couple dabs of some reclaim.

Peace out for now. :peace:

Haha, I wish. Besides that fact that I just vacuumed yesterday, I'm just one of those people that never has weed in the carpet. I think over the years I could count maybe 3-4 times I have just found a small little nugget. And two of those times they were defiantly not my strains. :p

Managed to get a couple grams of schwag, should last me the weekend if I take onies. :wall: :hump:

You got to laugh at yourself sometimes, it's just funny sad lmao.

Well good things come to those who wait, but waiting sucks lmao.

Thought I'd post another picture of the whole place after the tea feed. They enjoyed it of course. I also moved the plants around so they are all getting equal light. The ones with red tags are Purple Monkeys, the green tags and yellow tags are AK48s. Two are yellow because they are in 3g pots the rest are in 2g pots.

If they finish in 60-70 days from now that would be great, but I just don't know. They are still youngish, only couple weeks under 12/12 fs. :p
