Real reason Democrats want to raise minimum wage.

So if you had a nickel and everyone else had nothing, you would be happy and feel rich...

You're dumb.
I'd rather be called dumb by someone who scrapes together logic with a tane soup spoon than be ignorant.

Increase in minimum wage = increase in overall costs for everything. Yes paying the dude at the grocery store to collect carts 2 dollars more an hour will have an impact on your groceries. If you think thats bullshit you need to drop the crack pipe.

Negligible difference. This has been tested thoroughly in Europe and Australia, where wages are far higher.

the numbers don't support your uncited assertion in any way.
Your uncited numbers don't matter. We've never had a 15 minimum to study.

You can't possibly believe people making just over the new minimum wouldn't have a decrease in purchasing power after the new minimum goes into place.

minimum wage was $3.45 when I entered the "work force" 34 years ago, the average home price was $72,500
Today the average home is $210,000 and minimum wage is $7.10
A 12"TV was $600 and you can't give them away now. One commodity is not representative of the cost of living.
'82 Sylvania: $430 (19")

you are not a great shopper
a black and white tv '82 GE: $105 (12")

you should have gone with VCR
Did I mention a date? No, I didn't. When TVs first started appearing in the 50's, they were $600-900 for a 12" round screen. Don't change the parameters of my quote and then tell me I'm wrong.

sorry...like to play again??

there's something wrong when you must spend every waking hour working just to pay the rent.

a full-time job and effective citizenry is 40 hours per week..

Yeah I agree. You spent too much time having a good time before age 30 to be of any worth to anyone after age 30.

This isn't a problem you can fix with money.

The example set by people who work two jobs just to pay rent and buy food is invaluable to young persons who have the slightest bit of wisdom.

That's exactly my point.

In a 7.5 minimum world, 15 is decent.

In a 10.1 minimum world, 15 is average.

If the minimum goes to 10, 15 will buy you what 10 does today.
you are still operating out of an econ 101 mentality.

you presume that those who use predominatly minimum wage workers pull a number out of their ass and call that their profit margin, never letting it change.

that is not how it all works.

mcdonalds has two classes of people eating their food. Those who have an affinity for it and those who use price as their primary motivation

given that, mcdonalds will always charge what the market will bear. Anyore and they will lose market share, and profit. Any less and they will leave money on the table.

if they pass a new minimum wage on, unless all others do they will lose market share. They are already charging as much as they are able.

we've had plenty of minimum wage raises over the years and never has purchasing power decreased anywhere close to a full third like you propose.

lay off the heroin and pedophilia, pick up a fucking calculator, and run the BLS numbers you worthless fucking thief.
