I think we should take over Mexico and central America, all the way to the Panama canal. Make it all United states. Then we don't need a fence or borders. And our dea can go after the cartels and clean that place up. There are some really nice parts down there.

I ask myself, "Why is it such a concern what goes on in Iraq, but not in Central America".. We could help clean up Central America and make it a better place to live. That sounds like a way better idea than welcoming untold numbers.

we conquered mexico down to mexico city before, but didn't take it.

why?

too many mexicans was the reason.

amazing stuff in this thread. when immigrants poured into ellis island, the same things were said. people really hated italians/irish etc. it seems to be ok (or was) if we drag people here against their will to work the fields, cause we wouldn't do it, too hard. hey, lets get some slaves!!! the slaves come here from mexico now, on their own. wonder why they come? to steal good jobs from hard working americans? not even close! they do the jobs most americans won't touch. next time you eat some veggies/fruit, think about who (more than likely) picked it. it wasn't some american teen, earning money during vacation. if illegal aliens can get food stamps etc. then maybe lawmakers should do something about it. seems like they're using the system, like millions of americans. how many deadbeat americans are sucking the u.s. dry?let's get rid of them too, lol. why so many mexican illegals? because they know that all they have to do is show up, and farmers will hire them. if we didn't have illegals, prices for a lot of things would go way up. politicians/lobbyists know this, and it plays a role in why we don't stop them. how dare they flee from horrible poverty, to try and make their families lives better. if you say you wouldn't do the same thing, if you were in their shoes, you're a liar. but then maybe not. i believe the mexican family is a lot stronger than the average american family.

Yup, lot of truth to this post, but the OP has a better point. Jobs most Americans wont do, you have a point because of the wages involved. The Farmer knows this. The problem with Mexico is their inability to get their own country back under their control. It`s best to flee for them.

Speak all you want about Mexican this and Mexican that,...they are runaways. Running away from what they should be fighting to get back. Same goes for the Asians, Middle Easterners and all who flee for a better way of life. You wont find this better way of life anywhere on the planet except the good ole USA.

So come one come all, flee, wander, and enjoy the spoils of freedom, When you want your Country back, Ask Uncle Sam, Bravery still runs strong in the USA.
