Yup, lot of truth to this post, but the OP has a better point. Jobs most Americans wont do, you have a point because of the wages involved. The Farmer knows this. The problem with Mexico is their inability to get their own country back under their control. It`s best to flee for them.
Speak all you want about Mexican this and Mexican that,...they are runaways. Running away from what they should be fighting to get back. Same goes for the Asians, Middle Easterners and all who flee for a better way of life. You wont find this better way of life anywhere on the planet except the good ole USA.
So come one come all, flee, wander, and enjoy the spoils of freedom, When you want your Country back, Ask Uncle Sam, Bravery still runs strong in the USA.
farm work is NOT unskilled labour. "most americans" CANT do agricultural labour, because
1 : they dont know a carrot from a caterpillar
2 : they dont live in rural areas where farming occurs
3 : suggesting they commute 3 hours each way to get a job that lasts 2-3 weeks at most, then commute 3-4 hours to the next agricultural area, and so on and so on, is retarded
4 : the use of convicts as ag labour is a proven failure. prisoners make shitty farmworkers if you cant beat them to keep them working.
5 ; slavery is still illegal
6 ; mexico provides a ready supply of skilled workers, who are quite willing to travel the country for the harvest season then go home to tend their own crops
7 : ag workers are NOT the problem for most of america, they are the solution.
8 : for domestic ag workers they do drive down wages and reduce demand, but without the willing and eager mexican workforce, US food prices would be triple, or more and many mexicans would lack the capital to run their own farms
