What do you think of the free-for-all at the border?

392,000 deported
out of an estimated 11.1 MILLION illegal aliens
and 55% of them were convicted of crimes having nothing to do with their illegal immigration

yeah. thats some "good news' worth crowing about.
196,000 criminal illegals deported, 196,000 lesser criminal illegals deported, 11.1 million remain, so thats only 11.1 million criminals of varying degrees still lurking, and that doesnt even count our domestic production, or the residents of Washington DC

If Russia can take over their neighbor then we can too.
we dont WANT mexico.

if we did, they would be speaking english by now

Mexico is a nation rich in natural resources, with a surprisingly industious populace, and a rich cultural heritage.
ruled by a corrupt government and a marxist system designed to rob from the peasants and enrich the powerful (lulz, and all those dipshits think america is the devil)

if we annexed mexico it would cost billions and billions, and take decades to root out the cortruption, and the populace would lose their mexicanness becoming simply a new underclass.

it would be nice if mexico could root out it's own corruption, and become a free and prosperous nation, but that aint gonna happen.

but america doesnt need another millstone around it's neck, the lefty 5th collumn is doing a fine job fucking us over without adding that dead weight to our burdens

This should be a whole new thread I don't care to post.
The govt is holding illegal children.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/immigrant-parents-urge-us-officials-to-help-their-children-flee-central-american-violence/2014/06/12/dc751266-f0b4-11e3-914c-1fbd0614e2d4_story.html

Two months ago, Lucy Cabrera’s adolescent son and daughter called her from Honduras in tears. They said gangs had threatened to kidnap them, and they begged her to help them flee to the United States. She borrowed $6,000 and wired the money to a series of guides in Guatemala and Mexico. On Saturday, her kids called again — from a U.S. detention facility in Arizona. This time, there were no tears.

“Thank God they are safe now. It all happened so fast,” said Cabrera, who sells homemade tortillas in the District. Although she is in the country illegally, she said she has been contacted by federal authorities so that both children can eventually be released to her custody. “It’s truly a miracle,” she marveled.

Yup, lot of truth to this post, but the OP has a better point. Jobs most Americans wont do, you have a point because of the wages involved. The Farmer knows this. The problem with Mexico is their inability to get their own country back under their control. It`s best to flee for them.

Speak all you want about Mexican this and Mexican that,...they are runaways. Running away from what they should be fighting to get back. Same goes for the Asians, Middle Easterners and all who flee for a better way of life. You wont find this better way of life anywhere on the planet except the good ole USA.

So come one come all, flee, wander, and enjoy the spoils of freedom, When you want your Country back, Ask Uncle Sam, Bravery still runs strong in the USA.
farm work is NOT unskilled labour. "most americans" CANT do agricultural labour, because
1 : they dont know a carrot from a caterpillar
2 : they dont live in rural areas where farming occurs
3 : suggesting they commute 3 hours each way to get a job that lasts 2-3 weeks at most, then commute 3-4 hours to the next agricultural area, and so on and so on, is retarded
4 : the use of convicts as ag labour is a proven failure. prisoners make shitty farmworkers if you cant beat them to keep them working.
5 ; slavery is still illegal
6 ; mexico provides a ready supply of skilled workers, who are quite willing to travel the country for the harvest season then go home to tend their own crops
7 : ag workers are NOT the problem for most of america, they are the solution.
8 : for domestic ag workers they do drive down wages and reduce demand, but without the willing and eager mexican workforce, US food prices would be triple, or more and many mexicans would lack the capital to run their own farms

So what country did your ancestors run away from?
And as far as wages. They couldnt even force parolees to do the work well above minimum wage in Georgia after they passed their anti illegal immigration law
it was chain gangs not parolees. chain gangs are shitty unskilled labour suitable only for picking up trash on the highway.
they were offered a small wage (the prison would keep the balance) to "volunteer" to harvest crops, and they decided it would be less strenuous to sit on their humps in jail and watch TV or lift weights than work. and i dont blame them.
it's hard work, it can be dangerous, and the pay is SHIT (unless you get paid by the piece, as most ag workers do, and can bust out those bushels) the mostly black convicts were offered basically the same slavery their ancestors were liberated from. why would they not jump at the chance to once again pick cotton wearing chains?
it was a retarded idea to start with

the parolee program was even stupider. gainful employment near your domicile, for generally MORE than minimum wage, or riding on a prison transport (again) to a distant farming community to pick fruit in the hot sun for minimum wage, and being viewed as a convict again... dude. really?

the parolees who COULD be good workers are trying to not be prisoners again, why would they go for this boneheaded scheme?

If we took it all the way down to the Panama canal, that we paid for, we wouldn't need a fence or boarder patrol. I love Latin women so I'm all for this idea.

mexicans LIKE being mexicans.

if their country wasnt so fucked up, only those who want to be americans would come north.

history has demonstrated, repeatedly, you cant impose your will on a foreign land without facing resistance an i wouldnt support shooting mexicans for wanting to be mexican, or forcing them to become americans.

and then theres guatemala.

thats a shithole that makes mexico look like canada.

yes.

or better still, bring our troops home from around the world, and make the US/Mexico border a giant military reservation and live fire range.
next time we have to go to sandland our boys could be well prepared training in the desert southwest, and as a side benefit, sneaking across the border would become very difficult, since military reservations are not subject to posse comitatus rules, and the military can secure them without even involving themselves in the impotent civil and criminal systems.

mexico has militarized it's border with guatemala (with exactly the same arguments the OP made, (ignorant uneducated non-assimilating foreigners driving down wages and violating their laws) and theres not a peep from the "international community"

we should do the same.

go back?? lol
we haven't had a reason to leave our shores, since the Treaty of Ghent. I don't want blood for oil. I'll walk, or build solar trains, or get a mule. I don't eat tortured animals, and I don't put Murder Victim Dinosaur Fossil Juice in any tank. my up-coming transcontinental trip weighs heavily on me, but Daddy gotta go...........
