I normally throw mine out after 60 Hours if it has not cracked yet. I use the same method as you to germ. I put bean in cup of water and store it in a dark place I then come back after 24hrs and tap the bean so it will fall to the bottom so that way the entire bean is being soaked. Normally in 48-60 Hours I have a tap root. I use to do Directly in soil But that crap takes to long compared to the Soak method but that just my Opinion.

I jus looked at my seed and it has a lil piece of the root out. Face the root up or down? Nd it's been 60 hours

Root down buddy, toward the center of the earth, and the stem will grow opposite of gravity, towards the light.

WRONG. Direct into soil is just plan stupid. Every seed of mine starts in shot glass of tap water overnight. Then into moist paper towel in zip lock half open. If good seeds they pop everytime.
I literally just pulled a fresh seed off pollinated plant and popped the seed in 2 days.

Many ways of doing it. Paper towel, water, soil. Try them all and decide for yourself my friend. If the seed is ment to be then it'll pop. If your seed has cracked and is still in water after 2 days I would place it into a paper towel that is damp in a warm yet dark place for another 2 days at most. Doing this will allow you to look at it every 12 hours to see if the taproot is growing. Planting directly into soil when being a new grower leads to impatience and curious fingers poking around the soil causing damage lol.

Yeah that is pretty dumb to think a seed would germ in warm, moist medium where it doesnt get touched, thats ridiculous

I retract my retracted statement. It is fucking dumb. I'd put the seed in my asshole before directly into soil.

im sorry man, I will explain my statement. A couple years ago some genius (me) made an amazing medical breakthrough, I found that normal body temp was 98.6, with my vast medical knowledge I was pretty certain your asshole would be normal body temp, as it is in your body correct? And if you tighten the belt a little tighter around your neck during your next auto erotic asphyxiation session you will certainly be able to lower your normal 98.6 body temp to the great window of 75-80 for germing seeds. But you would be dead and the temp wouldnt stay there long enough so dont try it, terrible idea
