You have managed to completely contradict yourself in less than 2 posts, congratulations they may be a record.
i see no contradiction.

1: politicians lie, and the press deceives
2: if you are dumb, willfully ignorant or living under a rock, you cant see through the media deceptions, to identify the politicians lies
3: most of america is in fact dumb, willfully ignorant, and/or living under a metaphorical rock, avoiding political discourse until the week before a presidential election.

result: Barry Seotoro in the white house, and almost universally, pathetically weak minds and spines in the congress.

I am willfully ignorant based on the fact that I vote with my interests. Beyond that it does not change the system. You are getting fucked by someone. Corporations make the laws....and I am not supporting the ones I dont care for. I am not preaching ignorance to politics I just have lost faith. There are wedge issues that win the elections...

Tyranny is the result of a failed democracy, not the cause.

Tyranny is the result of initiated aggression. Democracy relies upon aggression as a primary ingredient in most instances.

Almost all democracies fail, because they assume a majority consensus is somehow equated with "fair". Which is of course not always or even often the case.

Yes, but was there ever an actual vote? My point was that slavery isn't the result of democracy, not that they can't co-exist. Slavery was the norm long before there was any form of government at all.
Both slavery and government have at their core initiated aggression. They are very similar, and it is only a matter of degrees that separate them.

When you vote for your own interests, sometimes you inflict them onto people who do not share those interests. That's not the most peaceful approach to human relations is it?

That is how I feel because I see so many that are voting against theirs and with fervor. My interests include peace and communication, along with that political discourse and eventuall debate. There is no way around it, but you are right...I justify it because they are socially motivated but am also used to that street going in both directions.

You're equating demagoguery with democracy. But democracy, by definition, means the majority forcing the minority. unless safeguards are built in.

It's more peaceful than beating them into submission. No?

It's not a perfect system but it happens to be the best so far from what I can tell...Everyone deciding their own individual laws I believe is called Anarchy. Can't have that shit.

only two laws. no initiation of force, respect for private property.
until we have true freedom, to decide how we rule and regulate ourselves, our existence is not entirely real. it is engineered by people who have their own motives, and charge us over 60% of our wealth to do it.

we have a record number of border patrol agents and deportations right now. net migration is at a standstill or a negative.

how is that not them trying their best to carry out their duty?

Buck..

The people are not that stupid. Brighten up a little bit.

so you think obama should do more to shut down cannabis in colorado and washington then?

what fundamental duties is the government not carrying out?
The only thing worse than something that shouldn't be illegal being so, is when the entity that enforces law declares it won't enforce some and will enforce others.

This is a way to achieve tyranny in a otherwise free state; leaving sometime illegal officially, and declining to enforce it's prohibition.

It is a way where those who enforce the law can choose who to punish for breaking it.

I think weed should be legal. I applaud CO and WA for their pushing the limits.

What the Federal Government is doing is dangerous.

Eventually we will have a president who wants to enforce marijuana laws. Then what?
