18k btu portable. adapt up to 6" flex hose from 5" very close to unit, with 6" to 5" reducer. this drops your resistance, ie decreases your Reynolds Number (showing off). run your 6" flex to nearest window, in the straightest possible line. cheap 6" booster fan for every 20" of run.
that's a small space; its gonna wanna heat up. ceramic tile in BR?

please listen to me: 1) i live in southeast florida and cannot use any window to vent it is a sweltering 95 most days..2)we are not allowed to have anything in the window per condo rules and HOA rules.

bathroom does have ceramic tile.

Cardboard box the size of the back of the AC. 8" flexible ducting. Take box and duct tape to exhaust end of AC unit, cut 8" hole in opposite end, tape the flexible ducting to hole, take duct to nearest window and figure it out from there. No staples needed. Super cheap, Good for 1 grow.

Buy a used AC unit for $40 from the pawn shop. 8,000-10,000 BTU for a each 200 Sq Feet of space.

i don't have a window but i do like the pawn shop idea.

I do...sometimes.

-Take air conditioner out of box, keep box.
- get 2" white foam insulation board 4 x 8 feet from home depot
- use A/C cardboard box as helper to cut foam board pieces with razor knife....carefully
- make the side pieces the same size as the box ends
- make the 4 long pieces 4 inches LONGER than the box length (both ends overlapped
And 2 inches WIDER than the box width (for that side)
- mark both sides
- use a straight edge
- cut straight up and down
- turn foam over and cut other side same way
- the foam will break there with a little pressure if you don't cut a full inch deep on both sides
- break it where necessary
-----------!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ----------Do not tape the bottom or front yet
- use the box as the core to assemble the foam pieces and tape with wide packing tape.
- the two side pieces will fit all the way under all the side peices.
- the side pieces with overlap all around, like an L shape.
- lift foam box off cardboard box and foam board bottom
- cut 6 inch hole in middle at the back of the foam box top (exhaust over the ac coils to take away the heat.)
- measure a/c area you want to access on the front
- cut access rectangle in the front
- don't forget about the air intake, bottom front
- use the 6 inch Mylar wire coil duct vent from home depot
- tape that end at the hole temporarily, so you can stretch the other end to the ceiling.
- leave some slack, don't cut the length too close
- go thru ceiling or:
- run that exhaust out into the pickup of your central air conditioner vent
- pick spot for A/C
- put bottom foam board there
- put A/C on foam board close to the front
- tape front foam access board to A/C front
- put foam box on A/C and tape the foam to the front and to the bottom

thank you..but i don't have an exhaust window..i do have a closet with hookup for W/D which they don't allow because there is no exhaust..there is however, drain for where the water would go (you can see it on the right next to H/C water supply).

also, i want to get a flood table to fit right over the commode (with legs) in that corner maybe 3x5?

i have to measure the room.

EDIT: bathroom is right in the middle of the apartment.

Do you dare cut through that ceiling tile in the closet? You have access to the interfloor space, but might be a lot less secure than routing the exhaust into the regular ventilation of the apt building (carbon scrubbed, of course)

ooooh, that's tricky.

without a window or bathroom exhaust port to dump your hot air (carbon scrubbed, of course) then you're gonna need to find some way to dump your air into one room while intaking climate controlled air from another.

doer is right, you may have to dare to cut holes in that place. it'll be a lot less scary to do though if you practice patching a hole on some piece of scrap wood or sheetrock first. only takes about $8 and 5 minutes to do.

You can get a replacement ceiling tile from anywhere else in the building, not in sight of security cameras, of course. The one in the closet just looks like it was caulked in.

-use an ice pick to push through ceiling where exhaust will go
-hope it is not a cruel joke, ie, a cosmetic cover for a concrete slab
-if cleared by ice pick test, take end of the exhaust tube
-put against ceiling
-draw around it with marker
-cut circle with box cutter razor knife
-use 1.5 inch deck screws, by hand, thru tile up into exhaust to hold it up.
-clear tape around it at ceiling several times
-push tape into the seam between ceiling and exhaust for air tight fit
- A/C foam box connected to ceiling
-remove bottom of exhaust from foam box top
-put on 6" axial fan, blowing up
-attach exhaust back to output of exhaust fan.
-plug in both

The key is to separate the inside of the box for heat. It was built from the cardboard shape so it is bigger than the A/C all around.

- The A/C sits forward in the box, so there is space at the back
- The A/C is centered Left/Right with space on each side
- The front face of the A/C is taped well all around so that no cold air is pulled back into the back. Sealed in the front. Foam taped to Face of A/C.

Now you have a sealed box. There is one more step. You need to get air in.

- get your carbon filter canister set where you want it
- run the exhaust from the filter outlet over to the side of the foam box
- draw around it
- cut the hole with the razor knife
- attach with deck screws angling in thru the foam to hook the exhaust
- tape that up

Now you have a cooled and carbon filtered grow room.

Run the lights at night and keep the window open. If you can open another window to create a cross breeze it will keep it cooler, or keep a box fan a foot from the window and have it blow out.
