She is growing upward at about a rate of 1.5 inches a day, with green, healthy, unmutilated top and side growth. The core of the plant is showing what appears to be a rapid chlorophyll and water loss (chlorotic and then necrotic). The trunk, branches and all visible branches are of good health. I agree with others, that I have been feeding them a bit extreme (every day), but since having started membership here:
1. I have decreased nutrient solution to 3/4 strength during feeding and 1/4 strength during leeching at a 1-watering cycle.
2. I have increased total used water (from 10gal to 55gal) for waterings to allow for sufficient leeching.
3. I did an azatrol soil drench at 5oz:5gal for treatment and preventative for any soil bastardos.
Could this be an extreme case of Iron Chlorosis?
I have another thread in the Outdoor Gardening section.
