Amazing dish soap I found for pests.

So recently I went to safeway to do some grocery shopping and came across this dish soap.

Its just dish soap, yes, but its worked wonders for me. I've had spider mite problems for months now... those little bastards just keep coming back even after multiple applications of neem oil mixed w/ whatever dish soap I had... until I came across this stuff. It says on the label that it contains lavender floral and mint extracts for aroma. Both of which are are natures pesticides. Bugs apparently absolutely hate the smell of lavender or mint and it seems that some people plant things like lavenders, marigolds, or use a mint spray to keep pests at bay outdoors. Now I just spray every week or so with just water and a small amount of this soap to prevent the mites from coming back and after 3 weeks so far no mites... it makes my grow tent smell a bit like lavender + mint combining with the smell of the plants and mixing into almost a black pepper smell everything thats mites hate. Im in no way affiliated with this brand I just thought it was an awesome thing I came across for pests and wanted to share it. its 3-6 bucks online so its cheap, natural, and effective.

Dude, you can spray Neem Oil in extreme situations but you're supposed to water them with the mixture, it works from the inside of the plant to repel critters naturally, I use it all the time and I don't have so much as a gnat, come to think of it, I haven't even seen a fly let alone mites or gnats, so yeah it works if you use it right

Dude, you can spray Neem Oil in extreme situations but you're supposed to water them with the mixture, it works from the inside of the plant to repel critters naturally, I use it all the time and I don't have so much as a gnat, come to think of it, I haven't even seen a fly let alone mites or gnats, so yeah it works if you use it right

Oh shit I didn't know you could do tht w/ neem. I've sprayed around the surface of the soil but never did a drench. Thx for the tip

Guardian spray look it up one application and those pesky critters are gone.. I took my plant upstairs dawn dish soap with my sprayer and washed her up shook her out and re planted worked great. but again what do i know

Can anyone more experienced than me touch on this a little bit: Neem oil has anti-bacterial properties so wouldn't it be harmful to the beneficial bacteria in soil if you do a drench? Do they need to be 'replenished' after a good neem oil drench?

Neem oil will harm some of the beneficial microbes in the soil and some that even live on the foliage as well. Others however, can benefit from it given the concentration of the active ingredient in the oil and the emulsifier that is blended to help it mix with water. The majority of Neem are fatty acids omega 3, 6,&9; many beneficial microbes eat these, but it never hurts to replenish the microbial population with compost tea or a little molasses and fish emulsion. All types of answers on the internet huh...lol...I don't run organic, I have but it's a pain in the ass......I am however almost done with 1 room in my new house.
