My 1st ever grow (bagseed)

Hi all, this is my first time posting here and first time growing. It all started with curiosity. I tried putting some bagseeds in a moist paper towel and I was surprised the little tail did come out and there I started researching and now I have a week old sproutling using 2 26w CFL 1 daylight and 1 warm white (I'll be adding more soon) currently on a 19/5 light hours. I'd really appreciate some comments and suggestions, thanks.

here's a pic where it first sprouted

3 or 4 days later

a week later.

GrowTech

stays relevant.
looks like you're growing inside of a party cup. if I were you, I would put that party cup inside of a dark lightproof cup for the time being, so you don't need to make any trips to the "Pest Help/Sick Plants" section of the roll it up. It's generally bad to have the soil/roots exposed to the light.

GrowTech is right light can kill your roots in that clear cup. And also 19/5 might work for you, but 18/6 is tried and true.
If you are serious about your grow, read the growFAQ (upper left) everthing you need to know is there.
Your on you way....Good luck!

Oh my bad! I didn't know the roots are sensitive to light. I covered the cup with duct tape for now since I'll be transplanting it soon to a bigger and non transparent container. I also changed my light sched to 18/6. Thanks a lot friends, I appreciate it.

As said..light proof cups in future...The main thing with new plants is no nutes 2-4 weeks, and DON'T over water... I mist a few times a day and water every 3-4 days.... Good start...Luck

Do you think I should transplant it now or wait for another week? BTW, do any of you put pebbles or clay chips in the bottom of you pot container for extra drainage (I read it somewhere) or just fill it up with soil? Thanks again

Hey mini me..... I use pebbles, but pour boiling water over them to kill or remove any grim shit that might be on them.... Anytime you can (have space..etc) you should use bigger pots..no root growth restrictions.....
Oh yeah...Welcome..

hi all, I'm a little concerned about my plant. The leaves seem to reach out to the light even though I didn't move the light or anything, I'm still keeping it in a 3'' distance. Is this normal?

here's a pic of her today.

Yeah thats normal man and its a good sign. When your plant is happy it'll reach for the light like that...Its a beautiful thing.
You could transplant, I'd wait a week
And I put rocks in the bottoms of my pots to help with drainage. Make sure they're clean though. I washed boiling water over mine first.
Put the light within 2 inches. An inch is good but the plant will grow into it fast so be prepared to raise the light every day.
Thin leaves looks like a sativa, she is going to want to be tall....
Are you having fun yet lol?

I'll be transplanting tomorrow in a way bigger container

**I noticed a little yellowing on some of the leaves, is this bad?

What's up all?? I transplanted my plant today and I've over watered her I think. I also planted 2 more seedlings and I think I have to add more lights.

here they all are!

The little ones are also bagseed, just in case my plant turns out to be male which would suck real hard.
I was thinking of giving my plant some nutes but i'm not sure which would be the right one. What do you suggest? Should it be more on N or just the equal 20-20-20 (i think). Also, how should I give her the nutes? The next watering I give her should already contain the nutes (1/2 or less strength ofcourse).

I think I should name my plant. haha
