got a question everyone, i know you can veg using hps, but what produces better results during this stage hps or cfl

Mh is best, for the grow... But realy is more of a toss up and prefrence. Go check the vv's thread he's a grow probing clf'er and kicks ass. Db.~tlb! oh and he's pushing 60 the little toe shower....

^ Well, that's not his question, I think. I understand that he's asking IF you don't have a MH, which is the next best choice - to use your HPS to flower or use fluorescents?

I wouldn't use a standard HPS, but you might do alright if you're using a Son-T or enhanced/super type of HPS as they are designed with a bit of extra blue in them. Still, it's expensive to run and produces a lot of heat - worth it if it's the right tool for the job but maybe not, otherwise.

That was the other one i was looking at.
The only reason why i went with the one from HTG is b/c i'd recived my mylar from them so i figured i might as well go with 'em again.

I'm surer it'd do the job.

So i started darkness at 1pm today. I will resume lights at 7pm tmrw. I took measurment of the height.

So Droopy is 14 1/2in tall
Sweetness is 12 1/8in tall
And Shorty is 11in tall!!!

Got some pics from before the night cycle i'll try and post them tonight. If not they'll be up tmrw as a before/after type thing......actually that is what i'm going to do.

I'm hoping to be able to tell sex after this little darkness thingy.

looks like a good height to start flowering.

the dark time is the hardest for me, up untill flower I could peek at them any time I wanted. Make sure the get 0 light during dark time now that you are in flower. I had to put tape on the light of my power strip.

I think I was able to tell sex about one week in?

Wowww. damn. I like looking at them so much its gonna be real tough! But the juice will be worth the squeeze!

LOL. Yeah man i did. There wasn't much to him but it was like 2 bowls worth. We smoked when we were already a little high but it did feel like a slight head change but thats it.

Ok so this is the youngest one. Sorry i don't have pictures from before the darkness. They got erased somehow? But this littl one was 11" before dark and 12 1/2" after i hit the lights back on!










Can anybody tell sex yet? I'm still thinking its a little early.

This is the one they call sweetness! I do think this one is female. There are a few little hairs. I can't really get a good pic of them but i'll keep watching them. But the two horns look like unpistilated female preflowers

And last but not least it Droopy. I don't have a clue of sex. but maybe you can help me out.
Droopy was 12 2/3" before dark and 15" today!!!!

If you can see two hairs at each spoot then it's a girl. Mine had very small hairs at first I had to use my reading glass to see them. It took 3 more days to get a good pic, The males came fast and were easy to tell. My girls were shy and took longer to show. So don't worry if you can't tell yet.
