It just comes down to who you have told. If you haven't told anybody then guess what, nobody knows. If on the other hand though, you have told people, I'd be paranoid as fuck too because those people have already told others as well.

The area I will be growing in is in the area of my cabin. So I already have an excuse to be in the area (not like anyone is around there anyway) nobody can see me walking into the woods and there is t really a reason to be in the area. The grow area also isn't a place anyone (or I) would hunt. Thick and thorny on an island in a marshy stream.

And as for telling people it's only me and my girl :) an I trust her.

seriously though, that's exactly why they make shows like these, to try and scare growers into thinking their small grows are gonna land them in jail..
if you're in maine, why don't you get a mmj card, that way you can grow legally?

Over ten plants(includes seeds/clones!) is a MANDATORY minimum of 1 year IMPRISONMENT here in philly(PA)............their are worse state laws in the US than this....

we wont even go into confiscation of property too...............I rent:eyesmoke:

some of our paranoia is warranted...

Bad idea, your property = the cops come for you, growing inside is much safer you act like your some kind of wilderman that lives in the woods, your on the internet forums asking if its safer and honestly it is much more risky growing outside even in legal states you still got a lot to worry about, pests, rippers, , etc, all that don't bother with indoor grows unless you get ratted out.

Nope not our property. State owned. And it's not even near the cabin, gotta walk through the woods to get to it. Lol I'm not some wilderman either, I just spend a lot of time hunting ;)

Wow, very Draconic, I live in Australia and got done with 18 outdoors and pled guilty to all counts of growing, cultivating, blah blah blah and was fined $1700 with no conviction. The judge said that he respected that I admitted guilt and thus not creating a long drawn out court battle wasting the courts time and resources. So I took a growing break for about 2 years then went full indoor hydro

Don't ever open the door(speak through it)...........if they have a warrant, they won't ask or be polite:wink:
Dont even speak thru the door , once you speak to a cop then you've put yourself & the cop in a position where he can ORDER you to open the door without a warrant , your best off chilling on the sofa quietly till they split .

Never talk with a cop thru the door , they dont come with good news its allways bad shit so let them beat on the door , if they have legal cause to enter without consent their comming in anyway , if they dont you just took away their ability to say they smell pot or see illegal shit & force entry .

Unless YOU called the police & are prepared for them to eyeball the contents of your home never answer the door or speak with them thru the door , if they want you there is nothing you can say to talk your way out of going to jail & the door is comming down,on the other hand there are legal precidents where time is your best friend & police only have so long to question or charge you ,by avoiding all contact the clock ticks in your favor .

On the main topic if i were you i'd pull the grow, apt growing is the easiest way to get busted growing , you need private space to grow .

I 100% agree.

If you didn't call, ignore the door completely and just wait for them to leave.

And be careful outdoor. If a redneck like me can track a wounded animal for miles, then tracking some dope grower crashing through the woods would be even easier.

Yeah lol, I already mentioned this, but the OP believes he is a better woodsman than Game Wardens who have equipment to hear you from several miles away, and have helicopters...make sure if you aren't in a legal state to at least take them out there at night, you realize that with Google earth and civilian access to satellite images that the government has even better equipment

If the cops come to your house, and there is no smell, no visible plants, no probable cause, then stay polite, and if they ask to search the house, tell them you will not consent to a search without a warrant, but don't stop them if they try to come in, just make it clear that you are not consenting to the search. Try to document everything they do inside the house. if they find something illegal, during an unauthorized and unwarranted search of your premises that you made it clear you did not consent to (But in no way physically barred them from entering), with a half decent lawyer you have an extremely good chance of getting anything they find thrown out of court, and any evidence they collect as inadmissible. Cops will often overstep their bounds of jurisdiction, and if they are documented as doing such, they will have a hard time getting charges to stick to you even if you are caught red handed. Just be sure you know your rights and how they apply in your state, and have a lawyer's number handy. A good lawyer can get you out of almost anything, especially if you follow the script correctly and catch the cops every time they slip up and do something they aren't technically allowed to do.

Game Wardens. I've put effort into protecting the area I've been successful for years in a row now bow hunting elk, as far as leaving a trail goes. Couple years ago, sitting on my stand, miles from the rest of the world...."Hello up there." I heard him coming in, I was just hoping he'd keep walking by.

Fucker spent 2 weeks tracking down my tree stand he claims. Just wanted to see what I was up to, and check my tags and bullshit. Said I was a hard one to follow, but nonetheless, there he was at the bottom my stand.

You need to think about cost-benefit. Does the government have this kind of tech? Yes. Is it cost effective for them to put it into use to catch someone growing on the scale of the OP? Absolutely not. If you think they are going to pay some analyst to sit in front of a computer and enhance a satellite image enough that he can spot the difference between a couple pot plants in the middle of a forest and the rest of the forest plants all around them, you have no idea how slim these operating budgets are. Helicopters and satellites, even in illegal states, aren't looking for anything less than massive grows. 200 plants on a landscaped, sun facing hill? Yeah, a helicopter might notice that. A giant, unpermitted warehouse that you built on an out of the way piece of land? Yeah, satellites might pick that up and they might send building inspectors. 5-6 plants in a middle of nowhere forest somewhere? No one's gonna notice, no one's gonna care.

You obviously do not hunt, or understand what a game warden is....they have standard equipment that can let them hear a deer from 2 miles away, and live their lives in the woods. If you were from the south or were hunting is the norm you would hear all the time about people getting busted just for not having Orange on by wardens, and THEY do not need search warrants or probable cause...growing inside is safer than outside in a non legal state
