Ok well I been asking for advice from u guys. I was told to use a 5 by 5 tent for 1000 watt. Shud i just use my whole 12 by 10 bedroom instead of wasting money on a tent? And I did read 600s were better. Then ppl using 1000s said no way in hell 600s pull as much weight as 1000s. So I'm confused cuz ppl on this site keep steering me wrong then? I don't know what the fuck to do now. And ill listen to you guys. I don't wanna waste my money. You guys know better than me. I'll try soil first. Steer me in the right direction. What kind of lights shud i set up my 10 by 12 room? Two 600s? Help. I'll listen if you help me. I've seen ppl fail too and don't wanna be that guy after talking so much shit. Lol. The only reason I wanted to do dwc was cuz of pests are less likely and bigger yields and faster growth. But if you wanna steer me away from that I'll listen like I said. What size pots shud i use? I can grow up to 12 plants. Cud I grow 12 soil under 2 600s?

I did read soil is less forgiving. But I'm not a fan of earthy tastasting weed. I hate shit that taste like soil. I think it's wrong. I'm not gunna be happy with my meds then I feel like. Shits a struggle I tell ya trying to figure this apl out. Fucking headache and I ain't even started yet. Just trying to figure out what's best to do.

There we go, you'll get much better replys with this type of attitude than the former arrogant one. There is nothing wrong with a 5x5 with a 1000w light and the whole 600w light thing you might be misunderstanding, 600 watt lights are more efficient in terms of lumens per watt but a 1000w light is still more powerful and will produce more regardless. And yes start with good soil like ffof or roots and maybe a 2-3 bottles of ferts is all you need. Like I tell everyone learn to grow a green healthy plant instead of trying to be flashy and shit. Read read and then read some more. Learning is the key here. Good luck and I hope the best for you.

Ok. I'm buyin a ph ec tds pen anyways. I can get rid of the AN. What kind of soilless medium cud or shud I use and what size pots? What kinda nutes? I hear organic is the best way to go. I guess you guys will save me tons of money too. And headaches. Just steer me right. I'm not bull headed. I'll listen to yous and go from there. Thanks by the way. Do some research on hempy buckets and Lucas formula. Super cheap, easy, passive hydro, no bugs, no pumps or anything to worry about, just go easy on the nutes. Also use good hardy genetics. Don't know much about HID.... And Hempy is just one way. I've tried all three and that's just what I like. I'm lazy and cheap.
Remember, everyone grows different and often they think their's is the best and only way it should be done. A lot of egos.

There are some things you're gonna have to decide on yourself we can give advice on pots size, I'd say at least 5 gal but it depends on how you're gonna want to grow. Keep in mind ultimately this is your show. So would you rather have less bigger plants or more smaller ones? I've used both fox farm ocean forest and roots organic and if you use the fox farm I would advise adding perlite to it, I go with roots because I like to use it straight out the bag w/o having to add anything.

It's so hard. Hydro seemed easier to me honestly. Thats how all my friends grow too. So if i go in soil then they won't be any help to me. They all do dro. That's why I wasn't worried. Cuz I know lots of ppl. And have lots of friends who would of helped me. But I've seen them fail at first too u know. Low yields and shitty bud. It's a hard choice. Go cheap and better chances or go big and possibly less chances of success. I don't mind spending money. I just want to grow sum good ass weed for myself. I guess I don't care how much I yield at the moment. Long as it's bomb. Thats my new attitude. Seems like the yield will come in time once I got growing basics down. I just wanna make sure the bud I grow is fire. I'm sick of smoking regular dank. I just wanna cure my weed properly and have my own trim to make my own edibles and oil. Lol that's all I care about. I'm sorry for being stubborn. The joke prolly wudda been on me. Jorge said organics is best? What's your thoughts on that? Ever tried organic growing?

DWC isn't that complicated but if you fuck up, your plants will most likely die. The major problem I see most folk do with hydro is not worry about water temps. If you can keep water temps at 65-68 and stay on top of your game then I'd go with DWC all the way, especially if you really do have buddies that are able and willing to help.

Blue lab is top of the line. It's all I use. The guardians can constantly monitor, while the others can not.
Personally, do which medium you think works best for you. Hydro has learning curves just as much as soil does.
You do not need to throw away the AN if you decide to go hydro. Or soilless. I use it, works like a charm.

Ok I'll tell you what I do from start to finish. I germinate my seeds in either jiffy pellets or rapid rooters depending on what I have at the time. Then when I have roots coming out I put them in solo cups with holes in the bottom and inside another solo cup like this
Cherry bomb, bomb seeds @ 5 days
Notice the cup inside a cup? I do that so it won't drip all over the place when I water.
They stay in the cups about 2-3 weeks then I put them into roots organic soil in smartpots and veg for anywhere from 4-8 weeks depending on when I need them. At this time I'm feeding them age old organics "grow" ph'd @ 6.5, TDS @ 350ppm
Bubblegum, 00 seeds @ 5-6 weeks veg
I flower them for 8-10 weeks depending on the strain. In flower I feed them age old organics "bloom"
Bubblegum 00 seeds @8 weeks
I don't flush but I do give em plain water the last few days to a week.
@RM3 has a method for flooding the plant at the end you might want to look into.
I put them in complete darkness for 72 hours before I chop em down and hang em to dry slowly for 7-10 days. Then into jars for the cure. I have this cool hygrometer built into the lids I got from Amazon.
Btw guys that jar is empty that's why its @ 45% RH
If it's above 65% RH I'll burp it or leave the jars open till I get down to around 65% before the long cure.
That's pretty much it. Laid it all out for ya.
Simple and I only use 2-3 bottles and they are only $16 a piece and come with a built in measuring cup on the bottle.
