Electricity Question

yesterday for the first time ever i decided after doing laundry to iron all my shirts [10] instead of ironing them one by one, once everyday.

so my question is, did i save money by ironing all of my shirts in one night after 11pm off-peak. rather than ironing each shirt on its separate day (the day that i would wear it) ?

and all the shirts will be wrinkle free after that night of ironing them.

idk are you still going to get the iron effect in 7 days is in will the shirt be wrinkle free then....if not then u wasted money....just do them every night

yes and i know that iron's take a lot of it. and yes it will be wrinkle free so i dont have to re-iron.

I would think if you iron them all at the same time you will save due to the fact you have to wait for the iron to heat up each time if your doing it daily rather than just doing it all in one wack.

You basically answered your own question:
-Using power off peak saves some money(of course).
-Ironing all shirts in one session saves money, iron does not have to heat up every time, is already hot.
-Starch (even light application)keeps those collars and creases sharp.

Not sure I have ever seen someone so energy conscious, (and I have a 5.6kW solar PV grid) Kudos.. I think. ;)

Maybe. You'd save more money if you avoided wearing shirts at all. If you do have to wear a shirt sometimes, try to find one that doesn't require ironing. You should probably have a couple shirts that you do iron occasionally for those times when you need to wear an ironed shirt. But I think you will save the most money if you just stop wearing shirts altogether whenever possible. If you want to go real hardcore on this clothing electricity budget thing I would recommend foregoing clothing all together. Just get a pair of flip flops and wear those. That will save you tons of fractions of pennies and shit.

In the military I would iron and starch a pair of pants that would stand on their own.
