I cut the lights back to 18/6 for 1 week & then 16/8 for 1 week & then you should be able to plant outside without flowering....good luck[/QUO
id concur especially in my areas... but he should be in a
.
Simple. Just add some cfl supplemental lights
for night time and they won't flower and then
when your ready to flower just remove the
supplementals anytime after June 21st which
is the longest day of the year.
Extra super easy to keep 24 hour indoor/outdoor veg plants in veg outdoors
for ever and ever if you want.

.
ahh see.. i didn't know the day that time hits.. but he's right..

does that fall into play even in places closer to the poles and equator? cause wouldn't they be a bit earlier or later or is that just plain and simple longest day of the year regardless of locations.

Its going to be harder than i thought , im stressin now i hope i dont ruin my entire crop. Im going to try giving them two hrs of darkness for a week, another two the next until im in 16/8 . Hopefully everything goes well.
You can absolutely have plants start to flower with only a couple hours of darkness, if they've only had 24 hours of light. I would start really small with 15 minutes of darkness at first, for at least a few days. You could also have a weak light on during the dark cycle at first, just to help minimize the stress. I had a bunch of early outdoor seedlings under 24 hours of light and they flowered when I turned lights off to spray for a few hours. Only 3 hours of darkness, 3 times in one week. Plants closest to the T5 didn't flower but everything except my indoor, did. The rest I have been cutting an hour off the light cycle every 4 days, still had some plants flower and plenty that haven't and I'm down to 17 hours of light. My indoor varieties which have been around for awhile and previously have experienced dark cycles, were unaffected by turning lights out to spray. Re-veg outside, means losing precious veg time.

Not sure if June 21st is the longest day of
the year where the OP's at but he could check
the local calendar to find out if
it is a bit earlier or later.

How long were they vegged indoors before planting outside?
These plants were started indoors & planted outside in May & kept under 18/6 from cradle to June 21st, when I cut the lights off & let mother nature take over.....

Heres my biggest plant that im planning to grow for the outdoor season. My plan is to transplant in minimum 100 gallon smart pot. I really hope it doesnt flower during the light drop from 24/0. Fingers crossed.
