Purple petioles. P too low?

Ive taken care of purple in non purple strains by adding more phosphorus.

Undersides of tomato plant leaves, and the veins and stems, may turn purple. stiff, stunted plants with purlish tinge.

They might be growing alright but if its happening to multiple strains i would have to assume its lacking something. Are you using new or recycled soil? Are you wattering with a bunch of run off almost flushing the soil?

It could just be the strain but when you say its across 12 strains i have to assume a lack of something.

Can you tell which one is "purple"?

I grow hydro.

I really think its a lack of P in nutrients. Someone was telling me recently to keep the P:K ratio 1:2

Ionic has 1:5. Heavy 16 1:3

Dynagro foliage pro has the 1:2 but everytime i use it I get dark green leaves (over-nitrification)

I've done a lot of indoor and hydro as well. Seems we at least agree its not getting enough phos though

I'm using the gh trio and following a good schedule I do believe. With what i am using it is about 1:3 P to K. 60-80P and 150-200K for veg stage. When I switch to flowering in 2 weeks it will be 0-50N 100-150P to 50-75K.

Im going to buy dry nutes and mix my own.

Need a scale that does hundreths of grams.

I pulled a leaf last night with what looked to be a P def. Though people on ICmag was saying I was burning them so maybe it was that instead.

No one can give a 100% guaranteed diagnosis, given there could be multiple variables the op isn't even aware of. People come here for opinion. I welcome (but have to laugh at some) opinion, because then you can challenge, if you so wish. My opinion is have you considered the start of a minor nitrogen toxicity? Or then again feed water temp too low? All angles of attack........

Water is 64-68F. Low but not that low.

Leaves look a healthy green. No bubbling or clawing.

I have a slight N tox. on one of my other strains im running. Though the more I read on phos. Def. The more im thinking the darker leaves may be phos.

what nutrient line are you running right now, if there is more than one, how are you mixing, at what percentages are you mixing (ml per gal/ltr) ? Are you in veg? Most veg specific nutes have a raised N and lower P and K because during veg a plants N requirements are higher and it's P and K requirements are lower. However if you look at a bloom feed or PK boosters you will note they have less or no N in.

This is a mixed run, trying to use up the rest of Ionic 3-1-5 and trying this new to me stuff Heavy 16 5-2-6

They just got into flower.

Here are pictures I took today.

Left to right (Stinkbomb #2, Darkstar, Stinkbomb #1)

It looks like the formulas im using have too much N and too little P. I've been told today on another forum that this is N toxicity and not P def. Looks much darker now that they are under red light and no more blue light.

yeah SNO .. no need to be like that on the boards bro..

... no ones attacking you were simply saying if you don't know don't give feedback.

because stupid people get on and reply "Nutrient deficiency 101...Chlorosis" "

A bit contradictory in your statement.... Lmao... And supposedly I'm the stupid one... OK Phil... I apologize oh great weed god! I forgot you're a botanist or horticulturalist. I was giving options and you jump down my throat... But don't worry "bro" because there's no need for that on these boards! Idiot...

Actually scratch that... Nutrient deficiency 101...

its been pointed out that youre clueless and a gas bag. Do you need to further demonstrate your assholery? Youve got no idea? Give it a rest wanker.

gardening deficiency 101 your pic on the cover.
