Then it's completely invalid information. If you can't post a link from a credible source, you might as well have made it up.
I actually have read the study he is referring to, which is why I created this post because it was a one time study that never followed up on the results so I came here to ask people with real experience. But he had a class one dumbass "how much will I yield" post and got all kinds of mad when everyone and their dog posted "about a pound" he threw a fit that he needed "real answers" to a serious question. Then comes over here and acts like that... I'm lazy Google it yourself... Fuck off

dude. Its blowing my mind how you went through all that trouble just to send that msg. You had to read all that just to be a dick? Lol ok. And i nebnever said they were 100% facts i just stated the facts are truly there. I saw the link on a RIU post that took me forever to find. Im not gonna waste 30min trying to prove something to you when I already read it and there are many experiments like it. Just look for yourself. And yes im new to the site and was asking a serious question. I wanted to know a real estimate which i got. "4.5oz" with that information i wanted to tell if buying koolbloom or bud candy would be worth it. So have a good day. Btw get off your computer and get some air you seem upset. Enjoy life. And weed. God put it on earth for you and me. Why be upset over something like that?

Before talking shit do some research iuniversities and top line growers have done the full experiment. Was not a one time study and yes they kept up results. Its been proven in many countries. just go do your research and stop crying

the user Bricktop always used to post a link to a source about this subject, i never clicked on it myself as i always thought bricktop was a bit of a cunt

so more importantly , who decides what or whom a "credible source is" can this be up for negotiation or is it set in stone ?

I always sucked at English, but there is a definition of a credible source as far as research papers go, I would follow that for gaining knowledge.

  1. Credible sources are ones the reader can trust. We trust that the author's ideas are his or her own and can be backed up with evidence. When writing a research paper, doing research, or reading for background information, writers should ALWAYS use a credible source.

The study you're talking about was never performed with a prolonged night cycle, it was a study performed by Reagan drug czar Carlton Turner on how potency varied based on the time of day a plant was harvested. He found that potency peaked just before dawn and was at its lowest point at dusk.

"Some growers extend the last dark period to 24 hours or more, but no experiments have been performed on this technique so we don’t know how effective it really is or what time length would be optimal." - Ed Rosenthal

Your telling me to do my research when you had a thread asking what you will yield. Good joke.
I don't normally call people out like I did with this guy for being a doink, but I've just seen a pattern on his own threads and then he brings it over here where grown ups are talking...

people call each others credible sources, non credible sources then they start talking about peer review
that's when i get bored
i bet some folk argue more than the scientists that actually conduct the research
my favorite scientist knows more than your favorite scientist so fuck off lol

THC levels degrade under light. Increase during the dark. The difference is not huge though. And yes studies have been done showing a 72 dark period before harvest will increases THC levels. But only to a degree that can be measured in the lab. Doubt it is enough to make a discernible difference though in your final product.

Where are the studies by a creditable university or doctor? Some stoner on a forum isn't a credible source to me. Was it lab tested before and after the dark period....

Yes, the University of Mississippi for one. Also there have been a few other studies I have read in the past by labs/universities. And yes lab tested. Hence my comment "But only to a degree that can be measured in the lab".
