It looks good on them ha ha ha

the mayor of nanaimo is also upset that the government won't crush compassion clubs so he can get a few more tax dollars out of tilray's profits.

“(The licensed companies) have invested all this time, energy and money in a new market that is not growing as fast as people expected,” he said. “The federal health minister slaps Vancouver on the hands, saying you shouldn’t be licensing these (dispensaries) because they’re illegal. Well, do something about it then.”

It sounds to me like "We aren't making money fast enough with the rules slanted in our favor, eliminate all our competition and hand us the market blah blah blah fascism"

And a competitor is complaining about gate keeper doctors keeping prescriptions #'s low

What a shame they have to make the share holders happy! no love for the program now that they are being restricted access to patients. They tried to force our hand and now their lack of foresight has bit them in the ass.

What they didn't realize is the patients and smokers aren't the easy target they figured we'd be.
This community has survived behind closed doors so long and been fucked around by LE to just roll over and beg.
Sorry harptler and you greed bags we aren't the sheep you need.

Nice of them to jerk the City of Nanaimo around and talk about how they employ 120 people, and then fire them a few weeks later.

What happened to that fauxstafarian Tilray champion? What was his name? Looks like he must have been laid off.

There are going to be some loose lips after this. More than 60 pissed off people just lost their job, time for the stories to leak out.

Last time I checked you don't go balls to the wall in a new market where there are so many uncertainties and you expand as the market demands it. This is straight up management failure.
Management is likely among those fired.

Tilray pumped themselves up to attract investors. Once they got the private investment, they could exhale and show their beer belly and rounded shoulders.

even if its a bunch of small rooms that produce decent swag...having to accomplish twice the workload with half the staff....
I don't know about you guys ....but I have been in that position...before...once half the staff was gone....
we had to" run"....daily to accomplish what was done before the others were let go...
we rarely met our quota's... since we were already bustin our asses... back when we had a full staff...
and lots of stuff was done half assed by disgruntled workers
