Dual hose portable a/c

So I am looking for some advice on the best dual hose portable a/c out there. I currently have one that works fine but it has some years on it. Also the drains like 5-6 gallons of water a day and I hate that. I want to reduce to amount of water that I have to drain. My a/c is being used in a second story house. So the reason why I am looking into this is because I can't drain it anywhere besides a 5 gallon jug. I was looking into an a/c that has a self evaporative condensation removal system. I know that feature won't completely remove the need to drain the thing but I am curious on how good one works. I'm just curious on how water it expels instead of being drained. If anyone has any experience with them or tips about them please let me know, thanks!

it works by evaporating the water, your rh will go way up man.

Have you used on before? The description states the water is released through the exhaust tube. I just want to know if anyone has used one with good results and also if it does reduce a lot of the water that needs to be drained.

I have used one in a home setting before. The water was evaporated into the room. I would assume it would be dependent on what model, but the lower end ones won't disperse moisture through the exhaust.

I have one going right now. The self evaporation is not through the exhaust which I like because it keeps the RH in the room the same, what ever water it takes out it puts right back in

I got a smaller version and used an 8 inch inline fan with an hvac collector to split it between two rooms. Heat isn't really an issue for me because of the cool tube and all the insulation I used in building the room for heat and noise control

Also this one had the lowest db rating I could find

Thanks man! This Ideal Air a/c spits out the moisture through the exhaust which is a relief. The one you have is nice but a single hose that wouldn't work for me.

Didn't work for me either as was, I had to make the 8 inch inline splitter set up but I can control the fan speed and I can control the unit so I do have more ... Control now haha

Just remember this moisture that you are dealing with is the result of condensation the ac doesn't make it.. Rather steal it from your air, if your RH is high that's fine but if it's not then it will be even lower just keep that in mind...

Why are people complaining about air conditioners pulling out TOO much moisture? I don't get it, that what I want mine to do so my dehumidifier doesn't run constantly.

mine barely drips out a few drops every month. 45-65% rh daily in my grow room(s) and surrounding areas.

Nope, Michigan. My room is upstairs but the a/c runs continuously. My humidity is always around 50-60% but not in other areas of the house, much higher. I wish my only dripped a few drops, I have to empty a large rubbermaid container everyday so it does not leak on the floor. Do you use a portable with the discharges moisture through the exhaust? Im not complaining either, I'd rather empty all this water instead of it being in the air.
