what mini split would you recomend to buy? one that would controll the day and night times like you mentioned
I have all Ideal Airs. They work, but are expensive because it's marketed towards indoor gardeners. The nice part is the warranty, if they fuck up, they get fixed in a timely manner.

Personally just look for one with a high seer rating and an option for an external thermostat.

While it would cost more upfront, efficiency wise, 3 26 seer 24,000 btu mini splits would cost less on your power bill than 2 16 seer 36k.

Another question to ask your self,
Do you have an hvac technician to instal them?

They have a 15 seer with a heat pump an a 13 seer without. I have all 15 seer.

If you don't have an hvac tech then you really should get the ideal air. You destroy the warranty with any other company if a certified hvac tech doesn't instal it.

The last thing you want is to install a 3 thousand dollar mini split wrong, and it not being covered by warranty. Your out 3 grand.

Ideal air DIY or Hvac tech. Those are your options.

Dear David,

The minimal distance between crop and fixture is for the 1000W fixture 90cm / 3 feet.
For each 1000W fixture you need 4000Btu of cooling so 36,000Btu should be enough.

Best regards, met vriendelijke groet,

I'm confused. Are you running a sealed growroom or not?
If sealed: 6000btu of AC per 1000w's of non-aircooled light. Trust me dude. If you live on the coast, or in the bay area part of NorCal, you can get away with a little bit less AC, but if you are up here in NorCal where it gets 100++ most summer days(except this mild summer weather we're having), it's totally the norm.
6000btu of AC per 1000w of non aircooled light.
4000btu of AC per 1000w of aircooled light.
This allows for heat from lights, dehu/s, co2 generator.
This is in a sealed growroom! If you are running air in and out, please disregaurd what I have posted. Good luck

when I want to,
i can get by with about 30" in between fixture and canopy, and that's at 1150w's. A fan blowing in between fixture(not on/at fixture)and canopy allows for this.
I know this!

I've a buddy who did a great run in a 5x5 Gorilla tent, 7ft ceiling, with his gavita set at 1150w and a literal shit ton of moving air, no AC.

His got to within about 26" before burning, but he was pushing the shit out of it.

I'm much more comfortable with my current setup, I might turn mine up to 750w each and see if the AC can handle it...

I'm really happy with my 6/750e's.

Soon I'm going to do a run of either GG#4 or DQ in 2x 4x4s and race the gavita against CMH to see which I like better. I'm thinking it'll be gavita but I might just get a surprise. Whichever wins will be the tech that I put into my 12x12.

You're doing the ebb and flow, right? If so, I've been watching!

I love my glue but, honestly, this DQ is a close contender, very vigorous and hardy, roots quickly and high yields. Flavorful smoke as well.

Stay well brotha!

I have some flood and drain out there right now, but for the most part, i'm growing trees in coco, or coco/peat blend. Loving this Vermisoil ATM.
You might be thinking about @AlphaPhase . He lives just up the street.

I promise you if you only use 4000 btu per 1000 you will not be able to keep up.

Is this dude including the ballast heat?dehumidifers?co2 burner? Chiller? Air pumps?

There is much more than just a bulb to be accounted for.

If you have 30 plants that are around a foot tall under 2 600 hps and you spread them out under 4, 600 hps will they grow faster or is it just a waste? There not crowded under the two but would the extra 2 lights speed it up
