I have real LED's and HID lighting I wouldn't waste my time with garbage Chinese rebranded lights that use EPI-WHATEVER diodes, been there done that.Yoda you are a hater... Everthing I said about my results is real... on my next scrog Ill back it up with picks so. Until then.
'
I base my comments of fact... Yoda are your opinions based on BS you read on the forums or based on actually growing with Vipars yourself
Now take 5 minutes to go fuck yourself hater.
We don't need to use them to know they're junk. 600w hps would bleach a plant in a 2x2. They're cheapchina crap.Yoda you are a hater... Everthing I said about my results is real... on my next scrog Ill back it up with picks so. Until then.

i no its an old thread but i have some issues with vipar as well 2 days after warrenty ran up the lights failed i contacted vipar this is what they saidSo I would like to share with the community my results with purchasing VIPAR LED lights. I purchased two 450w panels for $200 each. These came with a 1-year warranty. I initially was going to purchase the Blackstars for $300 and a 3 year warranty, and I regret it immensely.
After getting the panels (within my 30-day return window.) Having regrets, I tried returning them so I could purchase the Blackstars instead. The company refused to take the lights back and kept messaging me back and forth until PAST the 30-day mark. I contacted eBay and opened a claim. eBay was kind enough to force them to accept the lights so I sent them back. The company actually denied ever receiving them and shipped the lights back to me, in a different package, of course. I decided to let it go. Since I had opened a case and it "successfully" went through, eBay wouldn't allow me to open another or even allow me to message the seller. I had to request the seller's contact information and actually call them.
As for my results after receiving the lights, my plants did flourish better than my original 8-bulb t5 fixture (I used the LEDs for my veg room.) When I initially installed the lights, I couldn't even walk in my room because it hurt my eyes so much; I would wear sunglasses. About 4-months in, I noticed it was getting harder to see with my glasses on. I eventually quit using them and my eyes weren't bothering me at all. Being stoned, I never really thought about it.
Another 2-months go by and I decide to look at the panels again. The first thing I noticed is both panels have MULTIPLE bulbs burnt out. There were 18 burnt out on one and 13 on the other; photos attached. I spoke with the tech and he assured me the bulbs could not be burnt out, because the whole panel would fail. After speaking with "Lisa" on eBay, she contradicted the tech and said individual bulbs COULD burn out without whole panel failure.
So I contact the company again and they offer to send me LEDs and solder them myself. I tell them no, I have a 1-year warranty and you're going to honor it and fix it yourselves. They agreed and sent me a UPS label. The tracking number shows it as delivered I haven't heard a word from them since. They wont reply to my messages and haven't sent the panels back. I spoke with eBay and they tell me all warranty claims and issues need to go through the manufacturer, and they cannot help.
I hope this information helps anyone in the market for LED panels.
lol we can sell u the item u need lol not fix there faulty ass lightsi no its an old thread but i have some issues with vipar as well 2 days after warrenty ran up the lights failed i contacted vipar this is what they said
Hi,
We are sorry to hear you are experiencing a faulty light.
We notice that you bought the item on 2014/9/6, which mean your light is out-of warranty.
But that's ok.
Could you pls help to describle the problem more clearly.
Do you mean the whole light can not be turned on, and there is some smell?
If so, we are afraid the driver went fault.
Could you pls help to check it out?
Then we can sell you the part to fix the light.
Any other problem, pls feel free to let us know.
Thank you and best regards. just beware of vipar guys as they seem to not give a fuck about there product
You agreed to buy a light with a 1 year warranty. You've had your lights for more than a year. What's the problem here?lol we can sell u the item u need lol not fix there faulty ass lights
every place i have brought from even if it passes the 1 year or even 3 they will just replace as they want u to buy from them and also to keep u happy so u keep buying well way i thought things runYou agreed to buy a light with a 1 year warranty. You get what you pay for.
I don't think that this company knows something like repeat customers.every place i have brought from even if it passes the 1 year or even 3 they will just replace as they want u to buy from them and also to keep u happy so u keep buying well way i thought things run
Actually they do apparently, there seem to be enough people buying them based on price alone. Besides, by the time the first one's break and they go to buy another one on price, Vipar will have changed the company name to something else, altered their marketing spin (like the "new" "COB" version - lol), and someone will buy that one because it's cheap. These Chinese LED marketers are rip off artists, but they're not stupid, that falls on the customers, particularly repeat customers.I don't think that this company knows something like repeat customers.
I've seen harvest reports. But, they're running 50-70w/sq ft. (One was 90w/sq ft). At that point, why not use HPS?these epi-LED journals pop-up, pics and all kinds of praise during veg and early flower... then nothing, no final harvest pics, weigh-ins, nothing. Weird...
Good points, I threw those kind of numbers at them about 3 years ago in a last attempt at getting some production from them and tripled my weight watt-for-watt in the exact same environment and clones when I switched to CMH. I still use the LG panels (Mars now) for vegging/clones and I like them for that. The biggest problem I have with them is these companies claiming they can flower, they can't flower worth shit, I documented it and posted it. Problem is most people can't swallow their false pride and admit they've been duped by these f'kers.I wouldn't be too concerned about the third class of people who buy epi-shit for efficiency.
They will be disappointed, but they will also learn how to do research so they won't be disappointed again.
It's the 90 watt guys I am concerned about because they keep paying scam artists and are essentially throwing away money/resources.
They're also the people who recommend those shit lights and make others disappointed.
Are CMH only good for flowering not for vegging ? and which would be better from a 630 watts CMH or a 1000 Watts HPS and Why?Good points, I threw those kind of numbers at them about 3 years ago in a last attempt at getting some production from them and tripled my weight watt-for-watt in the exact same environment and clones when I switched to CMH. In the Philips Elite Agro CMH line which is what I'm specifically referring to they have 2 bulbs, I use the 3100k because I only use them for flowering and believe the spectrum is better for only flowering. They have a 4200k with some more blues which can be used for vegging or both, I've heard of good results with the 4200k straight through but haven't run the 4200's myself. Are CMH only good for flowering not for vegging ? and which would be better from a 630 watts CMH or a 1000 Watts HPS and Why?
Thank You in Advance.
