The area you are growing in could be covered by that 600 by itself you are wasting electric by running too much light, marijuana like any plant can only absorb so much light.

I am still sure that you can switch off the hps and continue with cob!
Try it cause I agree with yodaweed too much light is a waste of money!

Sure enough.... which would make sense if when you went there you could actually buy an Optic light, but even doing a search on Amazon for Optic grow lights, I didn't come up with anything. Probably a transitional thing, new owners and all.

For those interested in how this grow turned out. The final weight was 755 grams that's almost .8 gram per watt. Ya can see the results for yourself in my signature ;-)

Whats up bro ... it certainly was a great experience with the cobs. My last 2 runs under the 600w only were a Lbs each. This one surpassed the previous 2 runs by a lot!. I cant speak of the quality because i dont have a reference point. Its the first time growing thise 3 strains ... the quality so far is amazing and the buds are huge and tight. Heat wasnt much of an issue as I thought it would be with the 350w added to the 600.
I sont see a reason why i shouldnt switch to COBs only. For the time being and since i still have the 600HPS and its working just fine and since electricity isnt an issue for me because its dirt cheap, ill be combinging both the CXB and the HPS ... but if something was to go wrong with the hps, the plan is to get another optic .. maybe 500w with 3500 color spectrum for my 1.2m size tent ;-)
