Most of these write offs are there because corporate lobbyists bribed politicians to get them. They did it soooooo long ago that now everyone thinks this is acceptable... but of course it isn't, and the proof can be seen in the erosion of our nation's competitiveness.

Time for the fatcats to pay their fair share. This isn't greed or wanting to steal from the successful, it's a sense of fair play! They can afford it- and we need to make sure they know that there is NO affording the alternative.
that's why it's called 'establishment'.

Singapore is a shining example of what can be achieved by an industrious and educated populace, hard work and growth mindedness coupled with a ruthless attitude towards corruption in all its forms.

America is getting that last one exactly fucking backwards; simply legalizing corruption in all its forms doesn't make it morally right, economically acceptable, or any less corrosive to our goals and values.

We DON'T have the greatest nation on earth anymore and it's time to pop the hood and get to work on fixing it! We have everything to gain... and indeed, everything to lose.

Singapore? Where government dominates people to the point of death penalty for marijuana, corporal punishment in the form of whipping brutal enough that it can send you to the hospital?

Our right to freedom of religion in this country also extends to freedom FROM it. They simply need to be made to understand that their moral compass is broken and no amount of churchgoing will fix it without an accompanying change in behavior.

To enforce that change in behavior, I suggest we start by enforcing our nation's finance laws against everyone... including the banks. We have anti corruption laws on the books; they need to be applied to everyone, not just those without money or power. We need to hold our justice system and its officeholders accountable for actually dispensing justice for all... and again, not just for all who can foot their legal bills.

A level legal playing field is the ONLY acceptable moral standard, any deviations from it need to be carefully considered from a harms vs goods standpoint... and isn't that what our representatives in government are fucking there for?!

You're absolutely right; their society isn't perfect, either- yet they have far lower rates of criminal activity and incarceration than the United States.

That's a different issue than the point I was making about corruption- which as we know riddles OUR country's police forces and justice system.

Harsh but fair vs capricious, unfair and not deterrent? You sure you want to defend American 'justice' as currently practiced against the poor and minorities?

well, he has the same "death penalty for pot" plan that you just complained about. hypocrite.
you don't understand the meaning of the word hypocrite.
If I don't accept Newt Gingrich, and I don't support @ttystikk and his love for Singapore.
Then how does that make me a hypocrite?
I smoke weed. I sure as hell don't support the death penalty for it.
The problem is, you're always trying to think of something cute to say,
and then sound stupid like Kelly Ousbourne talking about illegals scrubbing Donald Trumps toilet

The only person stupid enough to click on a website called "niggermania" is you.
You're giving me a headache. Must have been a very difficult child.
Some mothers need to hide alcohol and cigarettes from their children,
but your mom had to hide paper towels and plastic containers from you, in fear of a lecture on global warming.
