The Nug Machine... Round 3

Out in the garden this morning, tying side branches toward the middle and some of the main colas up closer to the perimeter.
Removed a few more fan leaves where they were shading buds, tucked a few other leaves where I could.
Came back in the house with that old familiar smell on my hands !

Oh, BTW, look at that freakin trunk on this plant (over an inch) GLF !!!

You know... I JUST went out and removed the additional CFL grow bulb and tucked the UVB bulb up under the reflector.
This will probably disperse enough UVB over the plants while not blocking ANY of the CDM light and... It doesn't hit me in the eyes when I open the fridge door.

Just curious what does the added UBV do for the plants?
This is the vid I watched that convinced me to add UVB (plenty of other reading on the subject out there).
The places on our planet that have the highest percentage of UVB, curiously also produce some of the BEST weed.
Most of our grow lighting contains little to NO UVB.
It is a BIT lengthy and technical, but worthwhile !!!
I haven't grown without it so I have no comparison, BUT, the weed I have grown so far is WICKED ass good and I am not gonna quit it.
I also add the ghetto CO2 with the sugar water & yeast.
Again, no comparison without it, but I'll always do it.

This was the last of 15 main colas that FINALLY made it up thru the screen.
A bit of a straggler, but is positioned in the right spot for max light !

Awwww shiiie! That's what I'm talking about, that was my next idea to upgrade lights... I found a thread awhile back on led strip lights, saved it until I was ready to pull the trigger... But yeah, seems perfect to run strips down the sides or corners... I was going to run a few rows horizontally towards the top. Can't wait to see what you come up with

Yea, I was thinking the top of each wall and one on the top of the door.
Not much underneath to illuminate.

Well, they are in their new home and settled in.
System performance: Excellent !
Gotta see about changing the current somehow in the root tub.
I just checked the PH and when I was about to put the "PH Down" in the drain, I had to remove the roots from the drain first.
Maybe a screen or something?
Just curious, did you have a hell of a time removing the rockwool and roots from the plastic AeroGarden netting or did you plant with the netting on? I'm guessing that you took them off but I'm just checking to be sure.

The AeroGarden nets are expendable, I cut them off with side cutters and the rockwool just pulls right off.
On my 5" net pots, I cut a small hole in the center of the mesh on the bottom and fed the roots thru that.
