@FranJan , could you explain to me again how to check if my string is wired in a complete circuit and how to test each cob for a complete circuit?
My latest build has never lit up and I have two different drivers here telling me that it's not a driver issue....
I need to get the veg cab going on something other than cfls!!!! Thanks for any tutorial you can give/lead me to.
I've got the dmm inline with the circuit, just want to make sure I have the meter on the right setting.. I've learned a ton up to this point, although the nerves are still as strong as they were when i started..https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=Wiring LED Lights in Series&view=detailv2&&id=4E29FA4330ADBA0027E0B447CDCA1C6F1D6D9819&selectedIndex=0&ccid=od4U80lo&simid=608036102806441138&thid=OIP.Ma1de14f34968f131cc5ec40931af86b9H0&ajaxhist=0
Here's some info on series connections showing complete circuit, Maybe will help.
Could I just attach the dimmer? or do I need to string only 4 of the cobs together?
I am still a newb with the meter so I don't exactly know how to check that without instruction..
Middle one is fried.I'm no expert, far from it with diy cob builds but... logically it would make sense, like the other guy was saying..
"next idea is ... disconnect 1 cob, so only 4 in series now ..power up and see what happend?"
perhaps do that but eliminate one cob from the equation each time to ensure one is not bad... try several attempts.. each time with one cob not being connected,a different one each time. try to troubleshoot by process of elimination.
