Me too. And that's why I hate the outcome so much. The legalization of home growing was tied to the approval of a commercial growing monopoly that would have made a very few people many times richer than they already were.

Looks like the Ohio voters screwed themselves out of the ability to grow and purchase cannabis legally all because they feared a few people getting richer.

I don't know.

The opposition based solely upon traditional reasons was strong. Maybe enough to defeat. But the ugly proposal to create a monopoly of a few to get filthy rich probably had an effect on the vote split.

It's pretty much a mix of the best parts of capitalism and the best parts of socialism, so you get things like single payer healthcare, universal education, and a strong social safety net for the most unfortunate members of society. Higher taxes on higher incomes, higher minimum wages for the lowest earners, etc.

This is not the place to learn politics. Mostly skewed perspectives here. Mine is a anti-war, and most others here are pro-war and for the theft others. Ohioans rejected the monopoly measure, but the system failed? Hows that work?

I went to Amsterdam, and got to smoke in public, talk, and smoke with strangers. I went to Denver, and hid in the streets, and smoked in a airbnb room. It fucking sucked compared to Amsterdam. Take whatever the government gives you, and be happy with it. There are other posts that already illustrated what the enslaved minds here want.

Democratic Socialism was the governing party of East Germany from 1949-1990. I trust that is not what you want in America.

If you want socialism you should sign up for military service. You already kick butt at exercise, and they'd pay off your college debt. What could you lose? Oh....thats right.....life. Up to you I guess.
