Hey there! Noob here, first grow. Having trouble and lots of questions.

I first want to admit i didnt read all the posts, but in my experience 20 watts is way too little light,., even if you went with 2 or 4 tubed florescent you would have about 50-100 watts, you have one plant so this would be more than enough to get that sucker up and running, at 20 watts it will pretty much stay that size forever

Yeah after lots of input I've decided to let outdoors during the day. I'm gonna use the light just so the plant stays in veg until it reaches a normal size. Thanks a lot, everyone.

I dont know where you live, but in the northern hemisphere its heading into fall, that means less than optimal hours of light for veg, I am one of those guys that change lights from HID to HPS according to my phase.I do that to replicate the difference in the rays available at different times of the yr, So if you live in the northern hemisphere the sun isnt throwing out the best veg rays, its throwing out flowering rays. I think moving a plant inside and outside would be a huge pain in the ass. plus the fact you might not be exact on your timing each day and you may be susceptible to hermie. when you choose to grow indoors you become that plants god and these plants love a schedule and they will get all fucky fucky if you mess with a schedule. If I were you i would spend the $40 and get a cpl plant florescent at walmart ($ and a fixture ($30) and call it a day,, If you were dealing with a few plants I would suggest a 400 watt for veg, but with one plant you can easily get it to a good size with cheap florescents . Not to mention you are opening yourself up to outside problems, like mites etc..

Luckily I live in South America, it's summer here, pretty good for vegging. Kind of gave up on the indoor thing man, my life and wallet can't have a plant to worry about over all the other stuff. If Walmart, or eBay or Amazon would be available for me I would have got this over with long ago, but the Argentinian government does not allow any merch through the border unless you're carrying it yourself. I don't know how it works in South America but.....

Google search for (400 watt cfl try and get it on dual spectrum) they are very cheep to run and to buy.

If you are only growing the one the it's not bad for a closet nor puts allot of heat out as long as you can move the air around and make sure your temperatures are good and not too hot...

The dual spectrum is good for veg and flowering.

But the best advice I will give this noob to noob lol, try and get a plant that will suit your room I.e. Low ryders or indica dom because they are short and bushy and some are very easy to grow.

Random seeds is not bad to start off with mate because my first go was bag seeds lol.

I'm on grow 6 and only started Christmas 2014, so if you get a better advice then take it but I would suggest looking this up might be worth your time and money.
