Concealed carry hand gun for a woman

The small 380's like the lcp are good for concealing in a pocket but they aren't very accurate and need a lot of breaking in to be reliable. If your keeping it in the purse, size shouldn't really be an issue, you should get a full size gun. Try renting the M&P or a ruger SR9 or a glock and see what you like. A lot of people like XD's but I thought it felt weird in my hand.

We have an 11 year old that has friends and cousins. Decided against a revolver because it's just too easy for a child to grab the gun and pull the trigger. Having to turn the safety off to chamber a round makes it that much harder for an accident.

Lcp w a laser max is a fine handgun.... The safety is supposed to be the half mile of trigger....they have a slot to view if a round is chambered

Not accurate for more than five feet and there's not much to hang on to tho

The lc9 would be a better choice if its just going in your purse and you're stuck on ruger

IMO how accurate is not a huge issue.
Most people cant hit a moving target with a super accurate gun in a real situation.
Its more about having a gun belching smoke, fire and noise in your general direction that deters further attack

ive never really read into the benifit of a hammerless gun. Why would you want one besides maybe it snagging on clothing as your trying to pull it out?

that's exactly why. You can put them in your pocket purse or what ever, they're small compact and reliable. I know a guy that had an older revolver without a free floating pin. He pulled it out and snagged it and shot himself in the leg. Hammerless with a free floating pin is the way to go. You pull the trigger it goes off.

Second amendment anyone? The atf form has been the same for many decades. What about if I had guns before I got a marijuana card? If that's the case then if you drink you shouldn't be allowed to have a gun either.

I agree , when you have a hammerless weapon , if the spring wears out you no longer have a weapon that will fire. I have seen this happen to many times. I've never seen that happen If it did they would recall the gun and fix it for free.

Then don't put your gun in there. Rule one is gun safety. Doesn't matter what gun you have if you let a child grab it then you're at fault. If that's how you are you should never own a gun.

They have so many good body holsters there is no reason to purse a weapon.
Plus digging in your purse will take longer than you have.
If you aren't gonna get a holster and practice using it you are doing it wrong.

I'm aware of that but if you have kids then don't leave it in your purse unattended. This thread is also about responsibility.
