Cookies is a hermie prone strain by nature. Barneys rep isn't great either so it's one or a combo of both. Would be interested if they actually used a real cookies strain cause they don't even resemble cookies from what I've seen.

If you're looking for good cookie crosses try Sin City. Their platinum delights puts out ridiculous looking phenos. Other more reputable breeders with cookie crosses these days as well.

Im hoping he got it from a unreliable company so id be crossing my finger mine wont come out that bad.

Do you think that the seed dealer/merchant/online seller secretly sabotaged the seeds he is selling by inducing male genes into the seeds or something?

The same reason u just said implies to me, but since i just ordered yesterday and i just read this thread i was hoping i got a good batch or herbies had better batch than your messed up batch from wherever you got it from. Were clearly asking since we cold have stayed away from where you got it and when. So if lets say u got it from company a and i got it from company b, but its already too late for me sinve i got that ordered and herbies already have it sent to me.

I think there is little chance you got the seeds from a bad batch.
It's now months from when I bought them. And before I bought them, the seed dealer had them for 2 months.
I think they cleared the bad batch series till now.

But you will have to try to be 100% sure.

Since im already fucked up with bad reviews on bcbud GSC, id be i shit if my cookie kush turned out to be all male. Ill germinate that shit first along with my other fucked up bdbud GSC,

I guess I'm in the middle of this as well. I got the Cookies Kush from Midweek Song about 2 months ago and popped 4 of them (1 didn't take), and they are currently 7 weeks from breaking ground atm. I'm thinking I'll flip them in the next week or so, just to see what happens with them. I would probably veg a few more weeks normally, but after all this talk I just want to see what's up and if I'm wasting my time. I'll be pretty pissed personally, since it wasn't my first choice (the "in stock" seeds I paid for and ordered weren't actually in stock) and myself and a few others really count on the meds I grow, I can't waste plant count and months on duds...

At least for now, they look really nice. 1 is a bushy fat leaf pheno, the other two have huge thin blades with a very "Sativa" growth pattern. Kinda funny, I chose this since it was sold as "pure Indica".

I'll keep updating with my progress for those who have seeds and are nervous. I'd like to be able to ease your fears, but if I have to save you from some pain I'll take that at least...

I got them from my local supplier. He has a little shop with this stuff. So I didn't get them from any of the big internet suppliers.
I think bigger suppliers are a safer bet, cuz they have larger scale sale frequency.

I hope Barney recalled all the "bad" seed packages.

As they told me in an answer. It was not the problem in genetics itself. But they mixed up feminized seeds with male seeds that they are using in the seed production.

The growth was lower and bushier. They looked far more indica-ish.

That's sucks man sorry to hear that. I had a few of Dr.greenthumbs Canada turn hermie on me. I was pissed. All that hard work and great looking bud full of seeds.. Learned my lesson, I will not order from Dr. greenthumb ever again.

I might suggest you NOT spend your hard earned buck on Clockwork Orange from Riot......You would have to actually sand down the seed seem to get them to pop or, hand pop them to get the water in......Hard work for a single strain?

YOU GOT RIPPED OFF BY A SHYLOCK WHO DID NOT HAVE THE ACTUAL SEEDS BY BARNEY'S.

Dude, Barney's doesn't sell to US based small time mom and pop outlets! The alphabet boy's would be on their shit!
Barney's most likely covered their ass by sending you replacements - they were hoping you would "NOT" do what you did by spreading the " possible story" of their product failure!

Your "local" supplier either never had the actual seeds or swapped them......There are still bullshit seed dealers on and off the internet! You found one!

I've run some Barney's gear and have not had a problem with that.....I do like Big Buddha's Blue Cheese better though!
I will say that I feel that some of Barney's gear is not the most stable!

Interesting, so the problem plants were all the sativa pheno? Mine came with the Barney's cardboard card, so I'm confident they are "legit", but I have to say some of the palest, puny little seeds I have seen. I was hoping to see some sexy tiger stripes for my c-note
