You do know what per capita means? Right. Per capita, the USA is like around 100th on the list. If you take the mass murders murders per 100,000 or 1,000,000 we are not the leader.

No one can buy a new gun at a gun show without going through the FBI background check. The idea that new guns can be bought and sold without those checks is nothing more than pure ignorance.

Gun Suicides are usually very successful.
Don't confuse gun deaths as = murder when the great majority isn't.
How many were killed by police officers? How many were defensive use of guns? How many were accidental?
When you get down to it, murder by firearm is a minor statistic considering car crashes account for far more deaths. You have a much greater chance of being struck by lightning than of ever encountering a gun wielding maniac on a mass killing spree. The second amendment is absolute, just as the first is.

How about used, 2nd hand weapons. People go to shows because of the bargains on used firearms, not to buy new guns. That's my experience.

That's not how law works. You can't criminalize legal activity and then arrest people who weren't breaking prior to the law change. I think the most the law enforcement could do is confiscate the new contraband, but that's not going to sit well with Americans.

Anything I support must pass the common sense litmus test. Universal background checks pass with flying colors.

That chart that everyone is referencing is a very interesting way to skew statistics. Norway has a population of 5.084 million whereas the United States has a population of 318.9 million meaning our population is 62 times the size of Norway's; Macedonia has a population of 2.107 million meaning our population is 151 times the size of Macedonia. Moreover there has been 1 mass shooting in Macedonia since 2009, which was actually an act of terrorism and not perpetrated by a single person with multiple guns, but people. Norway has had 1 mass shooting, which was also an act of terrorism the 2011 Oslo and Utoya shootings which were done by the same person.
