Today is the first day of week 4 in flowering. I've had good luck with the grow so far except for a nitrogen toxicity in veg (veg was 5 weeks due to the toxicity) that they all recovered from and seem to be growing pretty well. The plants are short and bushy and only 18" tall. I just put them under a descent grow light though so growth has def picked up the last 7 days). I was thinking about trying to collect pollen from it and just moving it to another area. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
You could as long as you think it has good genetics. You better get it out of that tent soon though.
Even if you just throw him under a couple cfls in a closet, then pick the balls right before they bust. Throw them in a sandwich bag and then inside 2 more. Throw it in the freezer and paint it on when needed. You can cut it with flour to make it easier to pollinate them.
The other option is to put it in a paper bag and tape it around the branch you want to pollinate. Give the bag a shake every now and then. Take it off after 3-4 days. This option is better if you're running stronger fans, as to not pollinate the rest.
Dunno if you've ever bred before, but that's how I do it.
