This might be why music sucks and millenials are boring

i listen to pretty much everything, all kinds of genres.. but thats a not so good question, what percentage of any genre is pure shit. most new rock is junk, pop is garbage, mainstream rap is a joke.. a new bands concert is like going to a circus, theres all kinds of people dancing and doing crazy shit. at least back when classic rock was all people needed was the music to keep them happy.. also the lyrics were actually a story most of the time
I remember listening to Band of Gypsies while taking acid as a young man. Wow, ...................................................................

All I can say is try it sometime.

Too bad there wasnt a camera for this tune.
Lonnie Youngblood sings and plays the sax.
Good drinking song. ;-)

I am a music lover. For every sick ass classic rock album, there were 100 billion pieces of crap released the same year.
I don't want to go back in time, I want to go to the future. I don't want to argue, I want to frolic. I am a fuzzy bunny.

Not arguing, was just confused. I want to move forward too. I mean, I love the music of my youth but how many times can you listen to that shit? Problem is I can't find anything new that doesn't irritate the shit out of me. What's with all this coffee house shit BTW? HATE that shit.

trying to have an open mind but keep returning to the old shit b/c the new just blows. So maybe we are just fogies. @Trousers What are you listening to right now?

Working on the house all day today. Started out on Alice and Chains station on Pandora. Then Slightly Stoopid. Then ended the day on Elton John station.

If you do not feel it, you do not feel it.

Franz Ferdinand pulled me out of a funk when they released that album.

Change is the nature of the universe. The only permanence is impermanence. Fighting change is to fight the Universe.
I do not enjoy Gregorian monk chants but I like polka and chicks with dicks.

People who say music today sucks are lazy and don't care to explore new music. Yes, mainstream music is garbage, but there is still a lot of new, raw talent making music if you care to look for it. I suppose it also depends on your taste in music, but I've found plenty of new artists making fantastic music over the last few years. This is totally subjective.

That was my problem, I was stuck on tour. It was so hard to find good music in the 1980s that was not thrash/metal/punk.

I love the internet so fucking much. Not only can I find new music instantly, I can put it on my phone it I like it. After carrying around a cassette Walkman with 90 minutes of capacity, my 64 gig iphone is like the most magical thing in the world. I paid $90 for a fucking Walkman, that is 1982 dollars.

Blood Sugar Sex Magic got me out of my Dead head funk. I saw Anthony Kiedas a couple weeks after it came out in Taos, NM and just ran up to him and hugged him and thanked him for BSSM.

I am terrifically unhigh right now. My brain is all over the place. Time for bong hits.
