This is my question growers. Do I need to give water for the last night in the tent? Three of them look like they could really use it BUT tomorrow they come down. To water? Or not too water is my question

Usually when mine get on the last few days before harvest I just let the soil dry out if I'm taking the whole plant.
If I'm going to just take parts one day, come back the next chop some more, then I'll water.
There's a whole debate about why you should or shouldn't water during the final days, but from what I've seen with my grows, it really hasn't effected the outcome one way or another, so save water.

Yea if you think they are in need I would I have had the same dilemma before and one night can make all the difference watering them won't hurt anything but not watering when it is needed can drastically hurt your bud you can take whatever advice you would like but it ruined my grow it completAly dried the tips and I was forced to toss the tips of my nugs just my opinion

He harvests tomorrow. Not watering tonight will probably do nothing but make it dry a little faster.

It's not gonna ruin the grow. I bet my wife on it.

That's no typo.

IMHO, watering the day before harvest is not only pointless, it just adds more drying and curing time. Now, what I do with my gurlz is keep them in total darkness 24-48 hours before chopping. THC forms and matures in darkness so I feel this helps. But again this is my humble opinion.

HMM I would be willing to bet the issue you had with dry tips was NOT because you did not water within 24 hours of harvest. BUT, it WAS likely incorrect curing...

Good point, it's going to add drying and curing time. Remember, plants are still alive even after you cut them, so any moisture in the stems will continue to be absorbed or needed to be dried out before it's ready for enjoyment.

Oh, yeah, all true enough.

So, if you're in a really dry area and want a slow dry, yeah, maybe water them.

Is that what you meant, Justinbudahgrower? Won't ruin the crop but could certainly jack your dry/cure by being too fast.

harvest tomorrow and no pictures (come ondude),I would personally feed it its last drink if ones wilting heads may dry to fast the they become brittle,,if there's a 250 hps on them.even in 24 hour dep on plant size, and if it's pretty dry.last feed then dry in dark with fans on lights off

I've been doing this for 15 yrs it's not the cure I hacked before the cure they just got pushed to far without water and any experienced grower knows you only want to push em if you are in an area with high humidity and you need to dry quick otherwise you want them to dry slowly 10 to 14 days is ideal for a proper dry

gree with you tyke1973 anyone who has went threw this knows pushing them to far can dry the tips I find it hilarious when the newbie growers try n act like they know the issues without the experience to show

So, why water in the last 24 hours? The only way they could have been 'pushed' and dry enough to need last minute watering is because the watering schedule was in error. I still maintain that watering the last 24 or even 48 hours is completely pointless if the soil is not so dry that the leaves are drooping to the point of touching stem and medium.

Quick dry or slow dry...if there is ZERO moisture in the plant and it is in desperate need of watering...that would be grower error my friend.

Yes that's what I was saying more than likely he would be fine I just know from experience that your rolling the dice not watering and taking my bud from a 6 day dry to a ten or more day dry took my bud from street to despensary quality

ya but u don't know his circumstances so telling him to risk it for no reason is just careless on your part not to mention soil can change how fast it's absorbed especially last week so that wouldn't be his error

all lot depends on that, point.how bigs the plant how dry was the plant 2 days before he is gonna take it down, because if they was dry then then the plant may dry to fast ,in a room with a hps light on it ,they can become brittle on the ends of the buds through heat.honest far better either bag drying fast ,to me I have never done it I like to leave it to dry in the dark with fans on it,but try and tie the plant so it does not twist in dry area or you are losing thousands of heads falling of ,unless you are in a situation you have to dry fast ,just take it easy ,there normally ready to jar after 7 days of drying then jar,but burp the jars, leave a month or so then smoke.I'm on my last bit of livers x cheese at the minute, but still have enough oil left.
