using expensive fertalizers is a waste of time and money + makes YOU look like a fool!

Which dyna gro is one part? I use their micro from the 3 part but didn't realize they had a one part complete nutrient.

Alaska fish fertilizer from Home Depot is another one you can get through an entire grow with one nute bottle. Smells terrible though.

Dyna Gro 3 part? I'm not familiar with that. They have Foliage Pro which is a perfect 1 part for container growing.

Yea about 27oz off 1200w which was a complete disappointment...I have multiple complications with my last grow temperatures for a whole week in the low 40s {Fahrenheit} amongst other things and that really destroy my yield...But my grow before that when everything went right I pull 20oz off one 600w.
Ok, so you now realize that environmental management is about as important as it gets, right? And the brand of food one uses is nothing compared to mastering the basics that you haven't seemed to master yet. How do you allow a grow area to get that cold???

And your 3 plant grow above, what the heck is that? Why are you not utilizing your space better than that? Are you not organized enough to time a 4 - 6 plant rotation every 60 days?

Again, make a stink about plant food brands all you want but there are things far simpler in your grows that you could be doing to increase the production that you're so concerned with.

lol yeah three part. Foliage pro is part of a line I thought.

There is no "micro" from dyna gro, unless you are talking about "mag-pro" which isn't needed in containers. The grow/foliage pro/bloom formulas are all complete in one bottle. However, since i see you're in hydro, you would need at least 2 bottles from them (grow or foliage pro and bloom). In containers, you could get away with just foliage pro, but it is recommended to add some protekt and a sea kelp.

Yes environment plays a role in the overall outcome of a grow, but also everything else does to, that's why I was still able to achieve what I did even though not great it could have been a lot worse if other things weren't in check...I know I know but I didn't have the money to buy a heater until a week later unfortunately...Lol I know only three plants, I started off with 5 unfortunately two of them didn't make the cut...And no I am not organized enough yet but I'm getting it together slowly but surely.

This reminds me of fishing. I'm constantly trying to keep foreign scents off my lures (sunscreen, tobacco, gasoline, etc). Many other fishermen say I'm a fool because they don't worry about scent and still catch fish.
Are they right?
Unfortunately, we don't know how many fish rejected their lure because it smelled funky.
You grew decent plants with miracle grow. Great, but is that the best you can do? There's always room for improvement, and if you're really into quality, little things matter.
I'm not justifying what is sold in hydro stores, but some products really are worth the money.

Maybe protek is what I was thinking. I use botanicares calmag when needed. Which honestly ends up being 0-1 times a cycle. The three parts just break it down so you have more control over which specific Nutes you're giving the plant. Generally mid cycle you'll notice the directions end up putting your ratios at 1:1:1 so there's no reason why a 1 part with a 1:1:1 ratio wouldn't work just as well until you have problems in a specific part of your regimen. As feeding a plant that needs 0-0-1, a nutrient solution of 1:1:1 you're giving the plant more than it needs. Which is fine as long as you're not nuking the shit it of them because they'll only take what they need. It just furthers the imbalance in your medium is all. That's the only issue I see with one part. You lack the control when you need it.

The whole time I've been talking I've been referring to yields in soil/soilless...But nice real nice, I don't know why I have this feeling that you use more then just a 3 part nutrient, even if it's just a little bit of something else...But then again your in dwc so that makes it much more believable, great job!

Thanks. Like I stated I have a calmag I use when I need it as well. And I use clearex if I'm not fading the last week or so of flower. But was using the botanicare pure blend 3 part. Just grabbed the gen hydro because it's cheaper lol. Works just fine. I use the hardwater micro from them as I use tap water.

I hope he says lfsw de. That would fuck me up.
Hey guys what. I just heard from my guy at Way to Grow that hortilux discontinued the Platinum because of lack of demand at their price point.

Figures, they'd do it just as we figure out what we fuckin' thing is good for!

Any advice would be appreciated.
Use hydroponics, stay away from secret sauces, use a nitrate nitrogen based fertilizer with a good NPK ratio. Many will work. Lots of light always helps.

Nothing against soil, I like it, but it just doesn't yield the same indoors. Anyone can grow a 1 lb plant indoors in soil, but what about 2 or 3 or 5 ? I've never even seen pics of one.

Hydro, peat, coco, soil, it doesn't matter. Wattage and environment will drive yields more than anything.

Have been growing with Jacks and coco for awhile now and have been pretty happy.. Been needing to use more Epsom than I would really like, but it was kind of expected (growing in coco under led) and have been growing nice buds for the cheap... A couple of years ago before I ordered my big bag of Jacks I spent about a half hour or so sending out some emails to a couple handfuls of companies explaining how I no longer wished to support AN and was open to trying samples. Of course a few ignored me, a couple sent me discount offers but I also received a few packages with a couple half pints and a couple were even generous enough to send liters of their full lines.

Long story short even though its only been one full harvest from start to finish, GenHydro cocotek seems to be a clear winner. I wound up only using the 2 part (A+B grow/bloom) the whole way through without having to add any mg or sulfur. I told myself I would never again buy liquid ferts after switching to Jacks, but for $120 (including shipping) I got a gallon of each of the 2 parts (4 gal total) and if the results stay the same I'm going to consider it money well spent...

I was also happy with the dynagro products (in particular their mag-pro which is way more than just mag) but had to give the edge to GH because their cocotek formula has the Ca, MG, and S levels that I need growing in coco.
