LSD Power Drivers

I have been working with a driver company, LSDpower, for a while now, and am going to be a small distributor for them in the US. Some who have been around may have seen me recomend them in the past.

They have "the ability" to make any combo on they spec sheet. That does not mean that they have everyone available...they are basically made/adjusted to order in the factory. But the possibilities are endless. I used to recommend them for people looking for special currents for like 3590 72v builds.

Anyways...They are basically the equivalent to meanwell...even look damn similar. But are shorter/smaller than a meanwell. As efficient as meanwell, and I like I said, great options.
With that said I will be bringing in some stock options, but they are still developing the dimming on the 200w models...which I know is the hot ticket. But even not dimmable...I think could be in demand. They rest of the models 80w-150w are dimmable. They don't make any higher wattage options yet. We will be developing higher wattage drivers with them, and hopefully matching the most popular of meanwells catalog.

I have some 50w and 80w in right now for a small project and in the past bought a 120w and few 150w that have that have been running well over a year perfectly.

I want to know what options people would like to see??

To start I was thinking
-200w 1.4a 145v...4 cxb at 50w
-200w 1.8a 112v... 3 cxb/vero29 at 65w
-80w 2.1a 38v dimmable... 1cxb/vero29 at 80w.
or
100w 2.6a 39v dimmable...cxb/vero29

-Some 150w options...1.4a, 2.1a???

Special orders are always possible and on a bulk scale/big build are always easier, but cost will not be as good as a stock option. So let's pick some good ones.

What combos seem sthe best to most people???

I have been running 200w at 1050ma. May also be looking for a lower current in future like 500ma or 700ma for some low profile lights.

the cut sheets seem lacking in data relative to the meanwells.

id like to see actual efficiency at various loads and input voltages, not just one "max" number

id like some details on their timer dimming function. meanwell isnt very transparent in how this option is achieved

That's what I wanted to hear most of. Mid to upper mid current(1.4-2a) I think will be covered good. But lower currents:wattage I'ld like to hear what people are using and /or would like to use.
They could be higher quality mono drivers than what many have been using.
Have they said anything about adding certs to the LCN-200 series?
Anything I plan on using myself and bringing in will eventually all go through it by them. They have so many options listed, and a few variations have all the certs...but obviously not every option.

There focus was not the same as our industry the last few years. So the higher wattage 150w+ and specifically their 200w are new. I know they will get the 200w dimmable shortly and at that point the top priority currents will get certs. I have been pushing them and now if we are to partner, will make it a major priority for them hopefully. You would think if they can make the 150w dimmable, they can do the 200w.

I see they have 5 yr warranty on most their drivers. 200W Dimmable 1.4a and 1.8a would be nice. Does their dimming work with 100K Potentiometer ?
80-100W for single cobs also sound good as long as the prices are good.
Ya, 50-100w was the plan for single spots and higher power builds. I think the 50w won't be much of a player. The 30 and still maybe the 50w...could be used as a high quality option for driving monos...30w of 700ma, or 50w of it.

Dimming is like meanwell, except the last ones I got when using PWM...max out at 2v instead of 10v. But works fine on a 100K pot. I need to get an analog voltage source.

And of course...they will be cheaper than mean well...hopefully much cheaper if we can decide on great stock options.

Well, meanwell drivers fit cree like splendidly.. If you can copy them cheap, more power to us. Obvious candidate is the HLG 185H-c700 and 1400.. B version for dimmable or onboard dimming is a plus..

But what would probably be more useful would be to make some drivers that fit those lovely Vero's. The 18's and 29 need better drivers. What driver do we have that will run four 29's at 1400 ma? <Crickets>. Its kind of a magic number for those Vero's.. Need about 5% more voltage on the aforementioned HLG 185's. That little extra bit of wattage would also allow 5 vero 18's to alternately run off of too at that active cooled 1400ma... Just need those few extra watts.

I got 3 of the 50 watters to mess with , I assumed the sale 50's are not dimmable ??
Nice. Great for little veg lights or spot fillers.
The 50w are not dimmable.
80w-150w are dimmable.
What you have there seems like what most would be into. What's the price point going to be like. Compared to meanwell?
Still working on pricing. They will be significantly less than their meanwell counterparts. The better we can decide on what stock options to bring in...the cheaper they can be.

It's a 200w driver, and adding wattage is not an option.
The single 80-100w will work with vero's.
The 200w 1.4/145v would have to be adjusted to the 1.3a/156v version for vero 29's. I'll try and bring some in for an option. But 1.4 will be priority. And the same for the 1.8/112v needing to be adjusted to 1.7/118v.

200w dimmable are done and will be in stock soon on pacificlightconcepts.com
-1.8a, 112v...perfect for 3 CXB's at ~65w each
-1.4a, 145v...perfect for 4 CXB's at ~50w each
IMG_6716.jpg
Entry price is ~$50 for one. The code "DIY10" will work for them and take 10% off bringing them down to ~$45.
Shipping should be pretty reasonable using flat rate USPS. A single 200w might fit in a small $7 box. And a 13.45 box should hold up to ~9.

I think that these are going to be the best value and even even quality and in DIY and even commercial and will help with the cost of entry to build for many.
It also makes PLC a one stop shop for all your CXB DIY needs.

Awesome news @Greengenes707 ! I'm looking for a 150 watt 1.05a and 1.4a with dimming. I'm curious if LSD has that driver configuration...

I want 250v 1amp driver that could handle 8 vero18s or even something suited for the citizen clu046 1812, which run at typ of 1080mah at 52v so anothe 1 amp but 210v driver that could handle 4 of that clu046

,,,what protections they have?... are these protections suited (matched) to protect 3 or 4 cxb cobs?...
...maybe external sensor/s to check temps on HS or maybe in cobs... dimming by external temp sensor/s... i know ...i only dreaming...
...i suposee they use 3-1 sistem on dimming... its a 1-10v or 0-10v dimming?...

on inrush issue ... they recomend number of units on 16 A breaker?...
...any datasheet or other aplication note with more info?...

...thanks in advance...

...pd... wilson... seems to me ...no more soup for me...
...time to infusion...

:peace:
