Rapid Rooters moisture

Idk. I let my seeds soak for 24 hours in 1 part hydrogen peroxide 5 parts water. The ones that sunk got planted. They've already peaked their heads out of the rooters. 2 days from seed to sprout sounds like they've won my endorsement.

Well there ya go lol. Just never liked em because they don't decompose.....wtf.

I throw then in bokashi bucket with the other root balls.

On the topic of rapid rooters. I like them, although they can develop hydrophobia every once in a while, I need to make sure these things arn't drying up on me right now!

I keep a glass of water in the dome and do my best to keep the bottom of the dome clean and no standing water. I use a coco surfactant when i water them with a turkey baster. It sounds weird but then again I,m weird.

Dude, like just use a paper tower then..

I germinate in paper towels. Every now and then you'll get a batch of seeds that's a pain in the ass to germinate. It's happened to me once. I switched to the paper towel method and germination rates are wonderful. But I still use the rapid rooters. As soon as they show their Taproot I pull them out and put them in the rapid Rooter with the Taproot facing down. Works great for me. Have used it since the beginning if it ain't broke don't fix it is my motto

Them things usally sucks I try and rip them and put the plant out if there a nice root on there because they don't decompose but I just overall never liked them

Are you using actual rapid rooters? Or those stupid peat plugs used in seed starting trays, the Jiffy pellets?
I transfer rapid rooters into my dwc's. Never have any issues, they keep the right amount of moisture at the roots until they drop through, i dont have to worry about top watering seedlings, and they usually aren't even there by the time I harvest.

Those stupid peat plugs, usually have a plastic netting around them. I used those once, they SUCK! I keep finding them almost intact in my outdoor veggie garden, and I haven't used them in 2 years.

I use the Root Riot plugs..same as Rapid rooters....what I do first is soak the plug in a solution of some kelp ..roots excel..water... then I wring them out a bit and open the hole with a pencil...then grab seed and look at it with a loupe to make sure I plant with the caldera facing up...after done I place the plug holder in a tray and put some of the solution i use to soak them in till it just barely comes up over the bottom of the tray...I place the dome on it..place on a heat mat and keep it at 78 degrees,,I cover the dome with a towel to sorta keep light out and warmth in...usally with in 24-48 hours I have seeds popping..

When roots are a inch or 2 i transplant them into cups with a damp seedling mix...place cups in a tray and water from the bottom not top..let the roots search for the water..better root growth...

NEVER LET PLUGS DRY OUT

I succesfully rooted a popsicle stick in It though. I'm not sure if it was because of the clonex or the rapidrooter though

Got about 6 seeds that are rooting in them right now. I just move me into solo cups when I see roots?

I wait until i have so e nic3 roots coing out all over the plug. Dont wait too long or the plant will need nutes.

Why only plant the ones that sunk. When you use hydrogen peroxide and water together most seeds don't sink. I would actually be skeptical if one did. I always do 24 hours in hydrogen peroxide and water. Very rarely does one sink even when pushed down. Then I put them into the rapid rooters. All my seeds always germinate. So just a heads up you're probably throwing away perfectly good seeds..
