Hey guys! A little over 4 weeks ago I started a bag seed project on my balcony with 2 plants. Both get an adequate amount of sun a day and I'm pretty confident they're getting the right amount of water, not too much, not too little. But recently, their fan leaves turned yellow and died. I posted a thread about it, but was told this was normal and to not worry, so I didn't. This past weekend, I left town for 2 days and when I returned, my one plant looked like this. Someone please help!! What can I do, if anything to fix and rejuvenate my plants!! Thank you!image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Lots of the times those seedling leaves do yellow out and die as they have no purpose in the grow. Have you been using any nutes at all? She's looking a little hungry :p

Cannabis plants will use the nutrients in the soil but sometimes there's not enough within and if you Dont feed them it will steal nitrogen from the lower leaves it could be a nitrogen deficiency if you have a local grow shop lots of them will have their own blend of nutrients.if not you can also use foxfarms!

What kind of light does it receive? And how many hours?

I'd suggest fox farms bundle. Of you have a grow shoo locally go in and say hey Im looking for some food for my plant its been in vegetive stage for 4 weeks and I'm giving it this much light etc. It should at least get 18 hours of light if you can, from my research I have done you might be okay with around 16, but the most basic nutes are fox farms big bloom and tiger bloom.

Yeah, I've known about the 18 on 6 off rule, but the problem with growing outdoors is I can't control the time the suns out. Am I wasting my time with this light cycle?

Ive been growing them outdoors, so they're in direct sunlight for approx. 9 hours a day and indirect for about 3 hours a day
Ok are you trying to flower or veg? Because it sounds like the plant will be on its way to flower pretty soon. If you aren't sure then you should read up and familiarize yourself about vegging and flowering plants. Once your light hours get too low, the plant will start to flower. You can keep it in veg by using a cfl or any decent light during dark hours. The yellowing could be caused by low light intensity/insufficient nitrogen.

Next time, just throw a bulb over the plants during dark hours to get them big and healthy first, then flip
