Misshestermoffit, I just have to say I agree with you and had to rep you.
Talk to your kids, that was some great advice. That's exactly what my mother did, and we are all very close to her. The relationship you describe between you and your kids, that pretty much what we have with our mom. We see her...maybe not every day, but definately every week. We don't have to call to let her know we're coming over, we just pop up, cuz we know she'll always be happy to see us.
And she didn't hide who she is from us, we know who she really is, and we don't hide who we are from her. Once, a family member tried to tell me something about my mom, thinking I didn't know and that it would change my whole view off her -- and honestly, it might have, if I hadn't already known about it from my mother.
And bleezy....Didn't you already surrender to me?

yea but you still dont think like a sober person when your high. Rising a child shouldnt be done high. Any timeI dont act like a child when Im high, i finished high school long time ago.......I can be stoned off my ass and you would never even know it

It'll be fine Zeke, My kids are adults and aren't serial killers or criminals. My smoking weed didn't have any effects on their lives whatsoever except maybe the fact we were a little more laid back and less anal.

Its obvious he has problems....he refers to women as bitches, he knows nothing about parenting although he acts like it........Whatever happened in your childhood, I am sorry for dude....All of what he knowsw that pertains to parenting is what he wishes his parents didn't do and he is using them as the reason for his problems today........Do you need a hug bleezy?

My parents introduced me into pot, I didn't use it tell later on and it was a medicine to me... They also tought me selfcontrol when it comes to substances and openly talked to me about them. I think I grew up alright, I haven't robbed any liquor stores or old ladies.
I hope things go good for your Zeke, its good to see a dad give a shit about their kids.

My father was never there for me growing up, I dont blame him for my wrongdoings although it hurts to be the only son with no dad...I am what I am today because of what he wasn't....if that makes sense.....I cant say I would not be the same even if my father was there but he definatly made it easier as to what I want my kids to have in life. I must be doing something right because I have custody of my 5 yr old daughter abagayle and now Im working on custody of my son elijah. When my daughter was concieved I was into drugs, you attract who you are. My daughter was in foster homes at the age of 2 until my mother took custody of her(Thank You MOM) I just recently took custody of my daughter less than a year ago...........Im no angel, Ive done a lot of fucked up things in my life but I am not the same person I was years ago....and I will be damned if smoking pot is doing any harm to me raising my children

My brother has a 4 year old, he's 22. He wasn't taking life too seriously before she was born, but he completely turned his shit around to be a good father to her. He is absolutely determined to be a better father than ours was. He's already doing it, because he's THERE, he supports her and her mom.
I love good fathers. They restore my faith in men as parents.

Me too. My husband is an excellent father. I'm sure if and when my son has kids he'll be a good father too.
