By the way, 4 cobs on that small of a heatsink would be a waste of spread. 2 per would be better. You MIGHT be able to do 4 on the 20" model.
Ok will give that a try the fan broke due to assemble error with modifications being done to the heatsink getting a new one on Sat will give that a go for sure didn't think about spread just about more lumens

Running all 8 CoB's on drives each CoB at 50W = 400W per panel. A lot of light and CoB's are running nice and cool and last for five years. Buy a backup driver and keep it ready, if that helps. More CoB's running at lower wattage is more efficient and plants like it too.
peace.

how are the far reds working for you? see any difference in speed of flowering?

THIS. THIS RIGHT HERE JUST GOT IT ALL TO CLICK FOR ME. I've been missing the link in my brain to put it all together as far as understanding all the elements of led. This post just turned the light bulb on. So thank you.
Thar varies with which voltage you use 36v vs 72v. All three drivers C700, C1050 and C140 drive 200w total. If you are using 4 COBS that is 50W per COB. etc. each driver has lower voltages. see chart driver matching chart gives you rest.. peace

So you're gonna leave on the 720-750nm Far Red light for ALL 12 HOURS? I plan on 15 minutes after the lights go out.

I am using royal blue during veg. no problems here. just sharing success. available from rapidleds or stevesleds, both are the same. I love the response to the blue light. amazing growth rates. I understand what that other guy was always saying about color rendition and it's importance to overall growth. of course it also could be in the genetics, BOG is superb. plants do not hermie during vegetative stage only bloom stage, when the red lights will be on. peace

Wired up and got everything assembled today thing is like looking into the sun brightest thing ever. Brought it to my local hydro store where I know some ppl that work there they did a par test for me and came out excellent. 8 3590s in a 2x4 is some serious light. Can't wait to get some plants under it
