soil mix question..will this work?

So I just woke up at 530 to go check my plants ...and I gave them a foliar feed for the first time lastnight....it was supposed to rain yesterday bUT it didn't. ..well when I woke up this morning it was pissin the rain down...normally I would love this...but last year it Raines in my big plant and the sun was out while it Rained and then when it stopped the sun was out bigger than shit...my plants were in flower but I don't think it would have mattered...but the next day my top colas and all my leaves started to turn brown ...eventually died...the plant was 8 ft tall and by the time I trimmed all the dead off it was about 6.5 ft...so my question is on these little foot ta 2 foot plants am I gonna be up shit creek if the sun comes out after its done raining ....I went ro shake them off but as I was doing it it started raining even harder....I thought about tring to dry them off when the rain stops but idk...I never had any problems with this before but last year has me parinoid

Yeah I would shake off that excess moisture when it stops raining just to be safe if you've had problems before. Maybe build a little shade canopy, I've seen them in greenhouses before but I'm not sure about what they're made of so you'll have to do some research. But it's basically a cover that lets the sunlight through while still providing shade to the plants.

Yeah I planned on getting this thick plastic I have and steak the ground then wrap it around the top of the plants an our a foot over them...but I was still kinda sketched about that

Yea I don't know if plastic is the material you should use but I'm no expert on the subject. I grow outdoors very little in a Grove type area where the sun comes through the trees but the plants still stay shaded. I'm primarily an indoor Grower. But I take advantage of the outdoors as much as I can.

Some say yes some say no...but it's not an actual greenhouse...and the main reason they say is because it won't let heat excape...but I'm just using it as a cover so I think I'll be good
