Testing Timber's prototype=4000k/660nm and my finger on the flower trigger:)

Yeah, man...My guess is that the light will perform as expected. Nice stuff from Timber. They are always trying some kind of cutting edge thing that makes them a more interesting company, imo. If I had deep pockets, then I'd want one of each model! :)

My older Vero240 4000K worked very well for me. I think that using the 4000K spectrum all the way through flowering really increased the resin production, but fell off a bit in the way of producing bulkier buds. So I reckon this new model will fill in that blank.

I have two plants of the same strain under different temperature CXB200s. One under 3K and one under 4K. I'll keep an eye out for differences in the plants.

My bet is that differences in watering schedule will make more of a difference than that slight Kelvin temp differential. Those who've tried it report that there's a minor difference in elongation between 3k and 5k, otherwise not a lot.

It's aero, so watering schedules are identical. 3K plant is stretching a bit more than 4K plant. But it's possible it's a differnet pheno since both are from seed. I'll take notes when I flower the clones from the same plants.

Cool, always like more data! In most of the threads I've read on this subject, the grower expresses some surprise the differences aren't more pronounced, fwiw.

That's why I chose 3500K for my CXB3590, and it's working just fine (shit, try 'best lighting ever!' ) in both veg and bloom.

As I sit here and ponder about PA becoming the 24th state to "allow" medical marijuana and it's craptacular limitations(10% thc cap)============still would move to CO if I had a sick child, looking like 2018 before any meds get distributed, fucking joke as usual here. Around 3 million start up cost(early calcs, nothing final yet) to get in the action too, lol, NO growing your own is a fail! ALWAYS.

Enough bitching, it's sunday soooooooooooooo update time

Round 1 Day 27 of 14/10 from seed under Timber's proto cree cxb 4000k, osram 660/730nm (322watts) === with my 3 NL/God girls.

001.JPG 002.JPG 003.JPG 005.JPG .....we have blast off, what a difference a week makes:). 2 out of 3 are showing their sex, Runty Roxanne still isn't which worries me(herm). Watching the rates made me give them a heavy feeding of DTE vegan dry ferts. I still follow @multipass method, 1 cup (ran through a cheap blade style coffee grinder until very fine) per gallon of filtered water. Can do more if you want, doesn't matter, plant(s) takes what it wants in LOS/ROLS. Remember my filtered tap water is hard(tds), so cal/mag isn't needed, your mileage may vary....

006.JPG 004.JPG 007.JPG ..........great weather, co2 levels dropped as windows are open until AC time in a couple of months.

be safe and happy growing RIU

That's right. Legalize weed for THEM, not for you. Because you might abuse it. o_O

Could be worse, about 3 years ago they passed some legislation to allow Prairie Plant Systems to set up a second medical system here when Cannabis is rescheduled in Washington DC,there's rumor that it may happen shortly. They pushed this through in secret in just 3 months so there must have been a huge payoff of our politicians. This is the company that started growing weed in toxic mines and they gamma radiate it before they sell it to sick people. My guess is they will try to take away personal grow rights here when this happens.

It's definitely pretty shitty with a 10% thc cap, oils and pills only (no flowers) obviously which makes start up/production and pricing high. I think NY has a similar law and patients pay outrageous $$$$$ out of pocket?.............maybe @FranJan knows better

grew up in pa, got booted from school for a hash pipe, nasty blue law state. does the state still control liquor sales ?
YES, nothings changed.................I would have left long ago if it wasn't for my child.

Yea that sounds pretty bad,the 10% thing is strictly for corporate profits, you'll need to buy twice as much. Corporate greed is going to ruin the cannabis movement for many across the country. They like to monopolize and control anything that's profitable and all the politicians are lining up with their hands out to make sure it happens for them. You would think that once the truth came out about cannabis to the public things would change drastically but the corporations will make sure things don't change much so they can control it. My fear is that they'll lock up just as many people if not more for growing it even if we have nation wide recreational weed because it cuts into profits for the greedy corporations taking over.

I'm slowly trying to change my lifestyle so that I cut into as many corporate profit margins as possible........

hell yeah theyre playing both sides of the fence in PA:

-heavily regulated medical = cashgrab
-continuing to criminalize recreational = cashgrab

is it though ?

... kind of goes along the lines of 3.2 beer, and the false thinking that controlling % is a suitable way to keep people from getting too high. been done a lot with alcohol, thus must work with thc.

I don't disagree with the corporate greed thing, its happening where I am, but I don't think the % caps have much to do with that.

funny tho, the only thing I grow that has <= 10% thc is my hi-cbd sour tsunami and acdc.

It's greed alright, this is suppose to be strictly for medical needs not recreational, that's why no flowers. Do you know how high some of the doses are for certain conditions, enough to fuck up a elephant so why the 10%?
