Delicious Seeds Sugar Candy not great

I got to agree 1 seed is a joke.

But you may be on to something about potency I've grown a bunch of Critical Mass and Critical Skunk while they are decent smoke good yielding and some tasty ones to be found you can most certainly find better potency even just from Mr. Nice. So I would think anything in close relation to Critical Mass is not going to ever be the most potent shit some are up there but not on the top.

But that's from 3 packs CM 2 packs CS and Mr. Nice packs so 18+ seeds.:) would grow them again though cause it ain't bad if it was I wouldn't have bought more than one pack. Lol

Since it was advertised as 25% THC I expected to be impressed. I made some smokable hash from it though, so all was not lost. Many strains that are bad as weed are pretty good as hash.
Numbers are bullshit everybody knows that. Not to mention THC ain't the only thing that makes weed potent some terpines alone can increase the high.

A degree of uniformity? You need to run two or more bro to even know what uniformity is or isnt Wow.
I was just reviewing the one plant. Actually though, it does seem to have a fair amount of resin when you extract it, and when you mix that resin with some fine leached bud powder that you put through a metal coffee filter it does make a pretty good black hash. It's probably about average for weed. Just that compared to my best strain, Bubble Bomb, it's noticeably weaker. But then BB is stronger than any other strain I grew too, except one haze strain with purple hairs that was too stretchy but super-potent.

So in this particular thread, one Delicious Seeds Sugar Candy plant proved considerably less potent and enjoyable than Bomb Seeds Bubble Bomb, which fared very well in the thread. Four plants grown, all were very potent, just certain ones had fatter buds.

There's a Delicious Seeds thread on RIU that used to be quite active. A handful of cats raved about them, and posted some killer pics, convincing me to pick up some singles of cheese candy and caramello, which I ran a couple of each. My opinion of all 4 was / is just like the post below:

I just finished their critical super silver haze. Real nice commercial plant with nice colas and golf ball sized nuggets. Smoke was decent but not enough for me to keep it around,,

Exactly my experience with 4 beans. I'm not interested at all in the others. Kind of like.....

My cousin is lkke that too. Grows 3 or 5 seeds of a variety....if he gets junk he trashes the rest and writes the strain and company off.

I resemble that remark, somewhat, but imagine this:

You're single, and new to a small town. Fortunately for you, this little town has an incredible ratio per capita of extremely attractive and single Lucys your age who've been hoping mightily that any single man would move in. So you get a date right away, and though she's a looker, you don't care for her smell or taste the first date, and it's no better the 2nd date. You're just not getting the high you'd like to have on Friday nights.

But because she likes you, is low maintenance, eats anything you buy her w/ no complaints, and is a generous yielder 8-), do you keep taking her out, hoping one day she'll become what you always wanted in a 'keeper'

Maybe........you look at all those other Lucys in town. Sure, some other cat might move in, take out the girl you've left behind, and miraculously he finds she smells and tastes like Tang orange powder the first night at Lover's Leap. It happens. But......there's still all those other Lucys, so you don't feel bad about another cat digging your seconds - ya dig?:eyesmoke:

Obviously you would have to get several opinions about the company and its strains. I just gave my 2 cents worth on one plant of Sugar Candy. It's not terrible, just not premium in my opinion. It's like 7 out of 10 let's say. As I said though, it does make decent hash.

seed banks bettet stop selling single seeds is all i can say. If they want to stay in business. ..lol. Or be really confident in their gear.

For sure. Seems pretty common with a lot of the euro/dutch companies. They've had years of loose laws to stabilize their genetics in large numbers but it seems like they've focused more on the production side of it than the potency.

Try Sugar Punch from Sannie...

Or make better beans.

2 Attitude freebies ea of Chernobyl and Dairy Queen yielded 4 excellent Lucys, and led to purchases of Chernobyl, Ripped Bubba, Space Bomb, Ace of Spades, Agent Orange, Jack Skellington, 3-D, and the Void. The first completed Gojis led me to invest in several other Bodhis.

Conversely, 2 crap Grape Smugglers out of 2 is all I want to know about Archive. I'm intentionally leaving out GHS and BF - typical novice crap buys. The first FS Lemon Kush of a pack of 4 was a huge bush of crap. Believe it or not, it didn't make me think that the odds are in my favor that the next one might be bomb. No, really.

Try Sugar Punch from Sannie...

Which I will never do, because every Sannie strain I ran - even aside from heri [and her kin] was extremely lackluster, at best. Got some great E$ko and Prof P beans thru sannie, however.

Your loss. It's better than anything I've grown from E$ko or prof P.

No way in hell one seed is anything to make an opinion from. 2 packs is legitimate. Reviews like this should have a big disclaimer before anything negative is said.

I agree 100%. It's hard to judge anything from two beans but I understand why people don't grow many beans if something doesn't come out good from the first few. They not expecting keepers but if the genetics are good starting with and the breeders knows what his stud brings to the table it shouldn't be a lot of bunk in the seeds IMHO. Tho every cultivar is not for everyone and to each his own but usually the breeders I grow I don't worry about quality cus it's quality in the genetics already plus I grow the home of genetics I like. Phenos may not be keepers but it's always decent smoke in the beans and better than what's on street most of the time. I just can't rate a cross off a couple beans especially when I'm seeing lots of fire growin by many people from the same beans.

Suppose you're right. Reviewing a strain based on one seed is more of a pheno review than strain review. So forget I mentioned it.

Here's some hash I made from the plant.

I've only grown out 4 sugar punch, but none of them even came close to the Caramel Candy Kush and Huckleberry SQ I've run from Dynasty.

I've got 6 more SP seeds to sort through so hopefully I find something like you've found in them...
