I have been using LSD drivers for 2 years and have always worked great. I actually use and test things I sell. No other distributor has that experience.
When the 200w dimmable came out I got 10 samples of each current and they all worked great...power and dimming.
Ordered 1000. In between those sample and my order, they got a new dimming supplier...and here we are.
When those 1000 came in I tested ~20(a couple from each box) for current. And did not test dimming while doing that.
I have apologized over and over. And have more than rectified he situation.
Do you know how many were sold before I caught it???
42units via 9 customers. And one special order. That is a very small amount. But regardless of the amount, we are taking care of it at the highest priority. A few of those never even went out, and one person was informed...but still wanted the defective driver and then for them to be replaced later...and of course I did it, cause it helps that person out. I am not asking for the drivers back...PLC has absorbed all cost. In the end the few customers will end up with 2x as many drivers, that were very affordable to begin with. And they have a big IOU in my personal book...and I remember returning customers very well.
FYI...I'm not the only seller of LSD drivers. But I take the issue personally and PLC was the one who brought the issue to their attention...not other sellers.
Yep. One of the biggest reasons my drivers are exposed on the new CXP line. They drivers are ip65-67on their own so that they don't need to be enclosed further. Just like grow room circulation helps pins so much...drivers benefit too.

I spent $200 on a Bluefish controller and wired up everything for effortless dimming and adjustment. I used it once to dim for a day or two, then set everything to 100% and never touched it again.
moral of the story: dimming is like having two dicks. most people will rarely have a use for the second dick. but every once in a rare blue moon, you go home with 2 chicks, and that second dick becomes really useful. just my 2c.

Yep...I almost cut dimming all together with the new gear. But a controller for a whole facilities is in the works. But for a standard grow...I never dim, even in veg.
No need for the second dick...dive head first

I dont own a business selling them.@Airwalker16 , how many LSD Drivers do you own and how many have you had problems with? If the number is zero please follow the advice at the end of this video...
But I'm not saying GG is anything but a top notch business person. If he tested samples, that's good enough. It is not his fault.

The man is making it right to everyone involved. PLC brought this to us with a plan to fix a problem before it becomes an issue. PLC isn't making people even return their old drivers. I do not know how anyone outside of an obtuse, self obsessed neophyte could see this as anything but PLC being a stand up business in an arena where few, if any will even return your call or email...I dont own a business selling them.
I know your butt hurt, all chepa at @Greengenes707 but Im really missing the conspiracy and drama in this one...

Welp i better go test all 265 of these burning bush we are about to plant so i can tell the customer im certain they were good before we planted em lololololol.

My order for 4 drivers was in process when the defect was found. I was informed about it by email with in a half hour of it being posted here. I think I was reading about it here when I received the email notice.
After few emails back and forth I decided to take 2 of the defective drives anyway. I dont need the dimming for about 4 to 6 weeks and only for about 8 to 10 weeks per year. In the end it was my choice alone to take the drivers.
The whole issue has been handled very well and I have no hesitation to order more drivers based on the way this was handled. I am certain if any issues arise latter with anything I have ordered I will not have a problem.

Any idea when you'll have some lower power versions in @Greengenes707? I'm looking to build a new veg light with around 100-150w at 700ma or 1050ma, and I would rather buy from you if you'll have them any time soon. Cheers
