No its is not legal yet. Lack of enforcement is not the same a legalization. Why are you so concerned about legalization? Is it because you feel it will hurt your business?

California Marijuana Laws

California marijuana laws changed drastically with the decriminalization of possession (under 28 grams) and legalization of medical marijuana under the Compassionate Use Act (Proposition 215). It is now akin to a traffic ticket and is only an infraction with no possible jail time involved. But possession with intent to sell, possession or sale of more than 28 grams, and non-medical cultivation of marijuana are still serious crimes in California that often carry prison sentences upon conviction.

Sooooo..... Non medical? Easy....pay ur $50 & grow ur ass off....cant afford it? I hate to say...but if you cant afford $50 a year, you have my sincere condolences.

I see a demonization of people who are in the mmj business on this thread...allow me to play devils advocate.....god forbid...what if they are in the industry? This could potentially fuck up a lot of people...... If they do indeed keep rec & 215 seperate....with patients being able to keep things they way theyve been, than great.......but what are the odds?

Yall remember when washington agreed to legalize the first time but treid sneaking in that wild ass dui bill to go along with it?
The state will try to make up for its lost money in the prison system 1 way or the other. Prisoners are too big of business to lose a big chunk of.

I don't have any of these conditions:
  • Cancer
  • Anorexia
  • AIDS
  • Chronic pain
  • Cachexia
  • Persistent muscle spasms, including those associated with multiple sclerosis
  • Seizures, including, but not limited to, those associated with epilepsy
  • Severe nausea
  • Glaucoma
  • Arthritis
  • Migraines
  • Any other chronic or persistent medical symptom that substantially limits the ability of the person to conduct one or more major life activities (as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990) or, if not alleviated, may cause serious harm to the patient's safety or physical or mental health
I know, you play the game, get a doctor to lie for you. Why should I have to? That kind of shit degrades the validity of the law. It puts the medical marijuana movement in the cross-hairs of anti-MMJ drug warriors in other states if not in my own. So, I'd rather do without. But why should I?

The CA bill up for the vote in November keeps medical and legalizes recreational use as we now have in Oregon. In my state of Oregon, growers now have a larger market to sell into. There isn't a downside here.

Jesus, so much misinformation!

First off, marijuana is a very effective medicine for many people. If you use it, even just because you like to use it, that is a medical reason for using a beneficial drug.

Second, the AUMA will not have any negative affect on medical patients, it will actually enhance some of the provisions of Prop 215.

Third, and this is important, people are still getting busted for marijuana in California. The pigs are still busting in doors of homes and businesses, even for legal patients and legal businesses!

Hopefully AUMA will pass, and some of the sadistic shit being pulled by the pigs will stop.

This discussion reminds me of the prop 19 days.

There are a lot of people who don't want cannabis legalized. Hillary summarized the reason to oppose legalization very well: "we can't legalize it, there is too much money in it."

The people who oppose legalization are financially invested in the prohibition premium of cannabis. There is nothing intrinsically more valuable in cannabis than in tomatoes and geraniums. Anybody can learn to grow cannabis and produce it for the cost of water and fertilizer.
