The Galaxy Hydro lights have the IR and UV diodes. I actually just junked my perferctly functional blurple boards in favor of the COB conversion.Hey Yall, Im back after some wait, and have some time to sit and make a new entry.
Im constantly taking new photos just about every other day and so i have some updating to do.
As we saw before:
And now:
Hindu Kush:
Graybeard:
Everyday im seeing more and more resin production, even far out on the leaves...ill see if i can snap a photo when i get home tonight. Should be pretty nice Herbs when all said and done.
So understanding the growth under the LED is easyy growing. I can see how using a second light could really boost light levels and total plant growth.
I think that next round im gonna:
try 6 plants again,
use 2 of the Same light fixtures,
go full Coco/Perlite.
Hey Jack, Yea ive seen extreme growth in bud development. Currently at just about 5 weeks, im seeing more bud production than i saw in week 8 under the CFL.
The CFL also had older bulbs, and the Chernobyl came from A facility with A Lot more light. To a small tent with A lot less light. haha
so currently its doing pretty darn well.
Hey, so ive been keeping my temps up in the tent a bit higher and have seen great growth. What little extra boost might i get from picking a LED with UV or IR bulbs. Would you have a suggestion of a light that would do well in this application, or should i purchase a second light and just blow that little tent up?
Thanks yall. Happy Growing.

Converting one of your lights to a decent COB panel could cost as little as 100 bucks. I'd put the funds towards a conversion myself.
Blurple lights work and they grow decent product for an entry level grower, but not after you've seen a good cob grow.
1 grow and it pays for itself.
I'm not sure what benefits the UV and IR diodes have. I personally have not tested it and therefore cannot intelligently comment on that aspect.
I can say that while the blurple lights did grow a nice frosty nug, they lacked weight and density.
Did I mention that in 1 grow the conversion pays for itself?
