WHAT ??? Why do you say that !

Even with the stress of the pruning & switching them over they have grown back alot of leaves & grown 5" in 4 days
So help me understand this. You trimmed the shit outta your plants only to grow the leaves back again? *scratches head*

quick question, what does it mean when seed comp. say "sea of green of one m2"?...can anybody help?
it basically means as many small plants you can fit into a m2 as you can, say 2plants per ft2 in smallish pots, with little veg time. creating a sea of green.

Stop beating Quebec Big Dog, remember guys you were nubbies at one time too!!!

Before I do anything to my setup I come here for info on weather I should or not. This time I was lookin for info on pruning and found QBB thread.

Im glad I read this first, because I was considering a new dew for my girls.
I read over the GrowFaq. With readin that, I was ready to start trimming. Sounded great. Trim the big leaves, expose the new.

Needless to say, I wont be doin a haircut for awhile.

While Im here, not trying to threadjack QBB,

My girls are 3 1/2 old, approx 6 tall, short and bushy. Would I benifit by FIMing? Topping?

From this post, I know not to trim the shit out of them.

Why fix something that's not broken? Your plants looked absolutley great from the first pic so I cannot understand why someone who has been growing for 15 years would suggest so pointless. Of course the leaves are going to grow back, it needs those to catch sunlight and synthesize simple sugars. What you have done has will only cause your plants to want to reproduce more leaves with what little energy it can draw instead of using it to grow buds.

Get some free clones.

OK now this thread has recieved alot more attention than what I was expecting (Which is pretty cool) LOL..... But

My plants have regrown a bunch of smaller leaves and have gained 8" in height in 5 days of 12/12..... Not bad for plants that experienced a shit load of stress.

I'm not saying that pruning is good or bad becaue according to alot of comments recieved here my plants should be pathetique and I should pretty much start over with new clones... I disagree !!!!:wall:

So I'll tell you what I will post pics of my plants every 3 or so days and we will let my final wirgh in decide wether it was the thing to do or not !!! OK:lol:
HERE IS A PIC OF MY GIRLS NOW!!!!! 5 DAYS LATER

but just think of how full and bushy they'd be if you didn't chop all that off of them.

I still say a "friend" that sells you clones and then encourages you to chop the shit out of them later on is no friend at all.

I wonder if maybe your plants were looking way better than his plants and that's what inspired this?

You're right instead of starting bud sites they're regrowing as many leaves and branches as they can to feed themselves, but that's what the vegetative time is for. I didn't say you needed to start over, just that your friend gave your worthless information and should be held responsible. They're still alive and that's what matters but what you did to them was pointless. And my question to you is how are you going to let the final weight decide when you implemented this horrible practice on all of them and didn't leave one control plant to grow regularly? Sure you might still get a coulple o's off each plant but I'm certain you would have gotten more if you would have left them be. Just do your thing next time from that first pic it looked like you had everything under control.

What's that reflective stuff on your walls?
=======================================================

It's a roll of of alluminum paper with little bubbles in it.

THe stuff is used as a heat insulator and is also reflective, I used this because I had no more black&white and I read that regular reflective paper acn make hot spots (with the bubbles there won't be any hot spots)............... I bought the stuff at home depot

Any of you people think he might have miss understood his friends advice?

I trim off any lower branches and leafs that are not above the mid point of the plant at 1-2 weeks into flowering. This is the branches that do not reach the mid point, not branches that start at the mid point. I started doing this after watching some a Arjan's videos from Green House seed company. I like the results I get from it.

I think he totally miss understood what his buddy told him to do.
