You don't have the constitutional right to put others lives at risk. You have the right to own a gun (bear arms). Guess what, ensuring you're not crazy or have a violent criminal background doesn't remove your right to own a gun. It says "shall not be infringed". Gun control regulation does not infringe your right to own a gun.

Cars can kill people, we know this, which is why we require basic safety and training tests so we know who we can trust to be reasonably safe with operating a moving vehicle. Guns can kill people, we know this too, but idiots like you think it's a violation of your rights when we run equitable tests to make sure we can trust people to be reasonably safe with them. We're still nowhere near saying "No, you can't own a gun" which would be a violation of your 2nd amendment right, we're saying "Yeah sure, go ahead and own one, but maybe we should make sure you know how to safely use that first.." OMFG MY RIGHTS!@!!!@

It's an idiotic argument that should be treated as such. You wouldn't argue people should just be allowed to drive cars without a license, right? (or maybe you would, Rob actually argued that blind people should be allowed to drive on public roads last week, so who the fuck knows how far this libertarian bullshit actually goes..)

So... an unelected bureaucracy who arbitrarily rules that you might be a terrorist and then removes your gun rights without due process is not an issue?

I was the armorer of the rifle team in college. Come and see how educated I am about firearms.

It isn't "arbitrary" and there are detailed ways to fight it if you believe you've ended up on the 'no fly list' by mistake. Similarly to how if you get pulled over without your ID and get arrested while having a valid driver's license. Sure, you might be upset for a little while about it, but I think you'll get over it eventually.. 30K deaths per year is enough to warrant a little bit of aggravation if there's a possibility of preventing some of them, so sorry for the inconvenience you might possibly be put through for not being able to buy a gun for a week while your identity is verified. MY GOD, THE HORROR! I can't even imagine it!

Hillary Clinton is proposing to reinstate the assault weapons ban. Which not surprisingly has nothing to do with banning actual assault weapons.

It is a ban on scary looking semi-automatic rifles in an arbitrary fashion. I am sure the list will keep changing based on political donations.

If she bans a weapon, my right to own that weapon has been infringed.

She is currently and actively lobbying for this.

I'm pretty sure all the white males bitching about gun control have a few guns already. No one is coming to take your guns. They just won't let people on no fly lists buy one. How would a white male accidentally get put on a no fly list? Maybe they have some unsavory relationships they don't want infringed?

You said my rights were not being infringed and when I pointed out that Clinton is actively lobbying to do just that you change the subject.

Once in a while if you concede a point that is obviously true you might gain a little respect from the person you are arguing with.
