If it were me I'd chops; the buds look ready enough but also I don't like those yellowing sugar leaves creeping ever closer to bud.

ALWAYS run a week or two LONGER then any "breeders report" says to!
THE MOST made mistake done by every grower who is short on experience is to early harvest!
MANY of those who "claim" experience,,,make the same mistake - only more often!
Running "longer then you think" ,,, is the best and/or easiest step, to higher quality across the board!

this is week 5 if u wanna play it right i would go to a full week 8 with nutes then flush 1 week up to 9 with fresh water unplug the lights and flush for 1 week more

i agree with this thinking.. they look great, but even all of the hairs haven't fully receded back into the buds yet.. i know a lot of people harvest when the hairs simply change color, but ime, that's not done enough, and i've yet to have a plant that i considered done that most of the pistils hadn't all receded back into the buds for one.. you might get a stray late pistil here and there, but for the most part, most of them should all recede back into the buds before i even think about chopping them..

You shouldn't base your harvest schedule on it ("ALWAYS run a week or two LONGER" then any "breeders report"); this is nonsense, as you should harvest when the plant is done/your preference-- be it the plant is two weeks early, on time, or two weeks after the breeders report states.
So long as the trichomes are all cloudy, he can harvest. And in my opinion, as I mentioned, those yellowing sugar leaves can cause issue (possible rot and unsightly) if he allow them too close to bud, so I advise him better to cut now.

I'm in week 9. No flushing here. Can't see why I would do that. Also don't think there is much to leaving lights out for more than 12 hours...

I agree with the no flushing..total waste of time and maybe detrimental to the final few days of growth.
For me the jury is still out on the last darkness period..extra dark does make sense.....maybe...kinda....

well i count not from switch and with a jewlers loope at week 8 there still clear so i leave another week with lights on by that time we are entering ,ilky now lights on is all about power saving why have lights on to mature the buds ? i have left them on and off final week with no real diff barr they get a tad bit smeller and frosty been doing it for 7 years so it works 4 me

It ain't done Mike! Your overall finish quality will improve if you wait...
Yeah, plants are done when their done. I have yet to have ANY plant finish "early" when it has been PROPERLY grown.
Don't cha love opinions......wait a week at least.
